Is There a Search Engine Uncorrupted by the Obama Admin?
6/27/13 | originalbuckeye

Is there a safe search engine? I am not that computer savvy but would love to know if there ar ANY search engines that haven't rolled over for Obama's Big Brother Government.

“Take a deep breath. You’re safe here.

Click here to learn how Ixquick protects you from government surveillance.”

Actually on their home page-—LOVE it. (hope it’s true.)

“It says it is enhanced by google”

That does not matter. Google sees only the Startpage IP, not yours.

IXQuick, DuckDuckGo, Entireweb

What is primarily important is that you lock encryption on every web page. https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere

And that you make sure your point of contact, like IXQuick is not Backdoored by the NSA. The have server connections to google, yahoo, etc. Encryption doesn’t help when you are connecting to a rootkit’d node.

To ensure safety, you can go a step further with a VPN to swissvpn or another Country with better privacy laws. Then browse, play, whatever you want to to without being recorded.

Https in and of itself will not stop deep packet inspection. It will irritate it and buy time. Not being there via a VPN will make archiving much more difficult.

In short, it’s not just the search engine. It’s the ISP’s. You must have encryption + anonymity. One is good, but both are realistic protection from your NAZI government.

Your ISP is probably supplying them with the info anyway.

Yes, it does say that it is "enhanced by Google". But click the "details" link and see the limits that Startpage puts on what is passed to Google and what is stripped FROM the Google results.

See this for more info.

Also, it's by ixQuick, which others have referenced.

I’m normally not a conspiracy theorist - in fact, I hate that sort of thing - but I’ve thought I noticed a distinct bias in the returns I get when I search on controversial political topics. Almost always, all the liberal propaganda comes right to the top.

I also use StartPage and have for quite awhile. Don’t miss google or bing or yahoo. The results from StartPage are nearly the same, with less cruft.

I also use a personel VPN and connect to VPN servers out of the country. ISP doesn’t see anything other than the VPN connection to whichever VPN server I choose to use that day.

Keep safe out there.

I would tend to believe your assessment. Any search or web page visit will jump from server to server until it gets what it is looking for. Just run a “tracert” on any URL and see the jumps. I did a tracert on www.freerepublic.com and it took 20 hops.

Tracing route to www.freerepublic.com [209.157.64.201]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 44 ms 23 ms 54 ms cable-mac1.sodsny03-ar4001.nyroc.rr.com [69.207.112.1]
2 11 ms 11 ms 11 ms cpe-24-93-9-238.rochester.res.rr.com [24.93.9.238]

Trace complete.

At least one of those servers is likely to be tracking the data. It would not be hard to force all traffic though a server used to track internet activity.

I use Goodsearch.com.

So far I don’t think it’s large enough for the summit honchos to bother with. It’s a great search engine IMHO.

You’re worried about the search engines but you are here?

They monitor this site for sure. That’s why I give them the pleasure of letting them know how I REALLY feel.
