After spending four days trapped in a storm drain at a remote Sacramento intersection, a calico kitten was rescued thanks to a few teenagers who responded to its frantic and frightened meows.
The teenagers tried to pull the kitten out using a rope and when that failed, the teenagers called the fire department.
But after the kitten was safe, no one offered to take the animal home, according to Filbrun.
So Marquis and the KXTV team decided to care for the kitten. The station is trying to find the original owner before they proceed to find her a home.

Meow...
So glad they rescued the kitten. Now hope they can find her a worthy home. Such a cute kitty!
I'm allergic to kitty and doggie fur. Such a shame. I only got REALLY allergic when I was 29. Now, if I HAVE to pet the creatures, I make sure that I (a) don't touch my face and (b) wash my hands IMMEDIATELY.
Kitties and puppies are really one of our good God's many gifts!
But now, poor Dave has to fill out the environmental impact statement, and retroactively pay the $300 fee for removing a storm drain cover..and Homeland Security will investigate him, make sure he wasn't attempting to tamper with the water supply..
She’s beautiful. I don’t think they’ll much trouble finding her a good home.
Pretty kitty there, love the patterns on her.
Truly a good news story to close out the weekend. :)=^..^=
God Bless those who rescue God’s creatopm/ =^..^=

I've had several calico cats, and all of them had wonderful personalities. I recently adopted another from a neighbor who moved away.
Oh she’s beautiful. I hope she finds a home. I’m 3000 miles away
Technically, a calico is a cat that’s mostly white (like this little girl) with patches of red and black on them. Tortie-and-whites are mostly red and black patched with white feet, bellies, and usually chest. ALL of my kittehs except one were tortie-and-whites.That’s “my” color of kitteh. The exception was my precious Vanilla—she was all white, semi-longhaired, with yellow eyes. A real love machine girl. But all of my kittehs have been love-rats, every last one. Purr, purr, purr, that’s their byword.
