Caped Crusader Parallel Parking Man ‘Helps’ Women to Park

Damsels rescued from distress by Superman usually seem happy enough to put the struggle for equality on hold when the Man Of Steel swoops in.

Sure, it’s a tad presumptuous of him to assume they want to be swept out of danger by a chap who treats their personal space with the same respect he gives to arch-enemy Lex Luthor.

But after all, they are about to be mugged… and he’s so handsome in that suit, with his big bulging muscles.

Women who find themselves being saved by Parallel Parking Man, on the other hand, might feel more reluctant to relinquish their feminist principles. The not-so-super hero is a scruffy-looking bloke wearing swimming goggles, a flying helmet and underpants over his trousers. And instead of battling the bad guys, he just wants to help them park their car.

A hit internet video of the towel-caped crusader shows him leaping over a gate and taking the wheel from a woman before steering it snugly up against the kerb in Whitstable, Kent.

He then tells her he is also available for hill starts and three point turns. ‘I was a 14-year-old car thief and I went off the rails,’ revealed the mystery man, who in time-honoured fashion is keeping his true identity a secret.

‘I went to borstal for a bit and found the error of my ways. When I got out, I decided to park people’s cars instead of steal them.’

He added: ‘If they need help, people just simply need to call my name. I have been blessed with very good hearing.’

I drive an F-250 but couldn’t parallel-park a Prius. You either have it or you don’t. Meanwhile I have friends and family who can do it while fishing in their pockets or purses for meter change, not even looking.

Right, but I’ve always lived out in the hills where we don’t have curbs to practice with! Or other parked cars, for that matter :)

LOL. I didn’t look at your name until I started to reply. Hope you had a great 4th yesterday.

There used to be a lady at work who could NOT back a car. She parked her car next to the curb at home and would always find a spot to drive thru in parking lots.

There was a MAJ working in the same office who used to pull into parking spaces to tick her off.

Psyching up to go back to work.

Did I tell you I won $500 at Lowe’s couple weeks ago and my A/C died the *next day*?

I had to back a trailer yesterday for the first time in forever, part of a July 4 float. I was really good 35+ years ago when I was a teenager racing motorcycles, but have literally done it only 3-4 times since. I think it must be like riding a bicycle, as I did pretty well.

Congrats on the win!! Our AC died a few weeks ago too. Two lines in the outside unit rubbed together and most of the R22 escaped. It cost almost $600 to get it fixed. No AC in Texas is not good. We do have a couple of window units that kept us cool.

We have 94L coming our way from the Bay of Campeche.... we may not get a whole lotta rain but definitely some cloud cover for a few days starting Sunday. And the instability will help keep the Death Ridge from getting a good claw-hold too early.

I had $62 left from the $500 to ‘blow’ after buying another A/C. Spent $17 on a bottle of Flat Creek’s Almond champagne: absolutely delicious, nay, unforgettable. Treat yourself if an occasion comes up. Such as... rain.
