Well they de-balled the lone ranger so they get de-balled at the box office....
What gives? I’ve seen more stories about the failure of “Lone Ranger” than I’ve seen People Magazine covers of Jennifer Aniston.
Ever person I have talked to said that the movie should be named “Tonto” because they have made the Lone Ranger the supporting character.
Johnny Depp is dumb. He’s like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, aggressive. My daughter is four, my boy is one. I’d like them to see Johnny Depp as a toy, a broken toy. Investigate him a little, check him out, get this feeling and then get out.

I read they politically corrected it. That alone would put me off. But the star saying bad things about America had already put me off, so I won’t go to any of his movies. Let him live in France. (I wonder how those new taxes are working out for him.)
They need a sequel——http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-07-09/caption-contest-drone-ranger
Who WAS that masked man????
I haven’t seen it, but have heard that Johnny Depp acts like Jack Sparrow in this movie. It’s like they put his Pirates of the Caribbean character in a politically correct updated version of a western, and the results were not good.
Old news. Depp retracted it in person (I saw the live interview many years ago) and he apologized, instead of spinelessly having a PR person read a scripted one. JD also has an affinity for guns as he used them while growing up in Kentucky. And he’s separated from his long-time French mistress so there’s no use being there, aside from taxes and his kids. He’s crazy though..
I asked someone I know who is in the movie what he thought of it during production... He said ‘Don’t invest in this movie.’ After the premier, his response was: ‘I already have my paycheck, don’t care what they do.’
I haven’t seen the movie, but a friend of mine has. Based on his recommendation, I won’t bother.
My friend loves Western movies, and liked the original Lone Ranger TV show. He said this remake is “terrible”.

I threw my TV away during the OJ trail. I have been to a half dozen movies since, but found them mostly painful where they threw in something that attacked Republicans or conservatives or GWB that was gratuitous and out of character. I’m glad Depp has retracted his previous anti-American statements, but I don’t really care. Hollywood has permanently lost me as a customer. I don’t like getting into the story and then get blindsided by some liberal comment. It turns me off of the entire thing. I read only now. And, if the author goes liberal and it’s not in character or germane to the story...toss.
You don’t tug on Superman’s cape
You don’t spit into the wind
You don’t pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don’t try to PC a classic.
If I want to watch White America bashing I can watch MSDNC for free.
Pray for America to Wake Up
What a shame. I saw the producer or director on Hannity the other night. He said he is a conservative. So I am surprised to hear it is politically correct. I love the Lone Ranger. At least there will be some cool new LR merchandise out there.
I was at my ex-GF’s place waiting an hour for her to put make-up for our date and out of boredom, turned on the TV and caught Entertainment Tonight which showed his live interview. I have more respect for that instead of having to hire a PR person to send an apology via twitter or facebook but he did it like a man.
“which showed his live interview.”
Too late. I’m not going to ever watch any Hollywood production again...unless my conservative buddies tell me I won’t throw up. But, many of them have also given up TV and movies. (Or, at least cut way back.)
Won't buy it. Won't rent it. Won't watch it. Ever!
