An Othello elementary school teacher could face two counts of first-degree child molestation involving a student.

Lisa Davis is accused of inappropriate behavior with a 10-year-old student who was reportedly in her reading class. She also took the boy to a movie alone, Othello Police Chief Steve Dunnagan said.

Detectives investigated the allegations for more than a month before handing over the file to the Adams County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday for a charging decision, Dunnagan said.

However, yeah, I would raise an eyebrow about a teacher taking some kid to a movie himself. Seems strange, and strange a parent would let it happen. Of course, many don’t really have parents. But who knows.

I know I didn’t like my cousin going places with this pastor of his all the time. I thought it was beyond the pale, especially going on a trip to NY, etc, with other boys. I still think that fat cold pastor was up to no good.

People who are essentially strangers have no business taking children out unaccompanied.

I’m not convinced a guy who seems to have a real chip on his shoulder is real reliable about what is really mass or serial killing. No way Detroit alone has had that many in those categories.

Technically a mass murder requires at least 3 deaths, so automatically several listed are off. It also generally means random shooting in place with some kind of targeting intended, although not necessarily personal. Serials are similar, but the random targeting is spread out over time.

My guess is mostly these guys were regular thugs who randomly killed several people in the course of gang-banging. Some of them probably accidental, by dint of crossfire. Some just part of the drug wars.

These are white bigots. I have little trust in their muck-raking. My other comments still stand, although undoubtedly some actually count as real mass and serial. They just didn’t get very far.

No question the Beltway Snipers counted, although their MO was very odd for serial killers. Serials usually do everything in secret. Total.
