FULL TITLE: EXCLUSIVE - The death threats, the rows and a scandal over unpaid tips: The most infamous couple from Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares take on their critics

The most infamous couple ever to star on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares have told how they were left fearing for their lives after being subjected to death threats following their TV debut.

Millions watched as fiery chef Ramsay walked out on Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, who own Amy’s Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona, after a string of rows while filming the Fox reality show.

Having been accused of stealing their staff’s tips and taunted over the quality of their food on the show, Amy and Samy were then bombarded by threats made in late night phone calls and online.

And speaking exclusively for the first time, Amy, 40 – who insists that THEY stopped the filming - told MailOnline: ‘Physically, this has taken a huge toll on me.’

She said the couple have been forced to call the police and make reports to the FBI, adding: ‘Over the past couple of months, we’ve gone from being completely unknown to having people call us at 3am saying they’re going to break into our house with a rifle, rape me and kill my husband.

Or infamous. People aren’t going for the food, and fame—particularly that kind—is fleeting.
I was surprised to learn that she even misrepresented the only food he liked: the baked goods, that they were, as GR would put it, ‘bought in.’

These idiots thought they could violate labor laws with impunity. The woman is so over the top I doubt anything that comes out of her mouth. The co called contract that they make workers sign would not hold up in any court. Moreover notice how dear old Amy said that Ramsay was ‘100 percent’ inaccurate about not paying the waitresses their tips. Then later in the article she says NOW they are distributing tips.

i say this show and truly the woman and her husband were just incredibly arrogant and self centered. What they wanted was for Ramsay to come in and stroke them. When that didn’t happen she went looney tunes (truly it was an epic break down) and so Ramsay left.

I didn’t care for Ramsay. His mouth and in-your-face style.
After watching the show that changed. Came from a broken family, started out as dishwasher, then waiter, then club sandwich maker, then worked under some world class chefs in Paris. Now he’s a 21st century Horatio Alger story.
It’s gotta be tough, being asked to come to a broken restaurant then, after analyzing the operations and food, being told,
“That’s just your opinion!” and then the owner ‘turtles up.’
I’ve sometimes wondered, “Gordon, how do you keep *your* passion?”
Amy and Sami didn’t really want help. F*** ‘em.

“I’m here to help.” Keep the faith, Chef Ramsay.

I am pretty sure there isn’t a state in the USA which would have labor laws that allow a restaurant owner to subtract the cost of ‘returned food’ from the wages of the servers.

The SERVERS didn’t prepare the food nor buy the ingredients.

This is a serious labor law violation, IMO.

SERVERS in a restaurant are WAGE earners—they are NOT on salary!!!

There are a number of tests regarding wages VS salary.

A restaurant server would not qualify for SALARY.

“This is a serious labor law violation, IMO.”

I have a feeling it is but most are young kids who don’t know enough to report them to the labor department.

OH yes- she finally admitted- on the show to Gordon’s face- that she bought all the pastries and didn’t consider it duplicitous at all. They have some serious morality issues and delusions of grandeur.

See if you can find the original Kitchen Disasters out of England. It was much more concentrated on food and business and was really excellent. Yes, Gordon does his thing: yelling and cursing, then helping the owners to often great success. Sort of like culinary boot camp.
