AK Insider: ‘Sarah Palin Trumps Miller and Treadwell for Alaska U.S. Senate’
Conservatives4Palin ^ | 07/15/2013 | Steve Flesher

AK INSIDER has it that soon after Begich heard Palin may run for his Senate seat, the blasting of Palin immediately began through his campaign network and fundraising apparatus. This is the first time from last years start of Begich’s campaign blitz for reelection that he singled out an attack on a specific individual; possible or already declared candidate.

Begich has broadsided Palin in the dark alleys of political circles, before she has even committed to run. Begich does not want to compete with Palin.

Forget Lt. Gov. and U.S. Senatorial candidate Mead Treadwell; forget ”Computer” Joe Miller. To date, Begich has not squandered campaign funds to attack any Republican contender until Palin came along.

Republican moderate and Randy Ruedrich Republican party member Treadwell has limited support from Alaskan conservatives and Independents. Begich does not have to pull out all the stops to campaign against self-destructive “Computer” Joe. His failed 2010 General campaign against Independent write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski smoked “Computer Joe” is evidence enough.

Oh, I can only imagine how Karl Rove would react if Sarah ran.
*******************************************************************
If Sarah Palin becomes a Senator, I could visualize her and Ted Cruz taking turns hitting Karl Rove with him bouncing around like he was a bobble-head. Come to think of it, he kind of already looks like a bobble-head. The bobble-head manufacturer’s artists would have to minimal work to render him.

Where does he “turn on” Sarah Palin? He doesn’t say anything bad about about her at all.

He simply stays on own election message and does not get pulled into hypothetical questions. That is the first thing most candidates are taught to do in interviews.

By the way, what makes you think the Palins were angry about that statement?

I looked it up and you were right about Todd Palin getting mad about the Miller interview. But he later apologized and said this:

“My family has worked hard in supporting Joe Miller, so when I heard he’d said something less than supportive of my wife’s efforts, I responded. But it turns out we’d gotten our wires crossed and Joe hadn’t said anything like what I’d been told.”

I hope she can do it. The poll I saw was from January or February of this year.

For a guy who knew so little about the situation in 2010 that you didn’t even follow the race, you sure seem determined to argue about it, from denying that anything happened, to now saying that it didn’t mean much in the context of the race.

Miller’s gaffe was major and hurt his momentum and cost him a lot of conservative support, the Palins and conservatives tried to recover and play it down, but it was a costly mistake from Miller, and one that we conservatives have not forgotten.

I really don’t want to have to walk you back to the intensity of that race and the national situation with Sarah Palin and the situation with the Murkowskis and why the question was even asked of Miller.

A new sign up to FR can try to do a little catch up on his own.

I think I am caught up now. It was a misunderstanding and TP received wrong information.

And I take Todd at his word, “Joe hadn’t said anything like what I’d been told.”

No, you can’t be caught up by reading the damage control about something that you didn’t even know about, to get caught up you would have to go back and immerse yourself into the context of the gaffe, and it’s effect on his campaign and on his conservative support.

You are a long way from caught up to what you missed in 2010, and what we so thoroughly discussed here at FR at the time.

You seem to have a chip on your shoulder so I will let you go.

But I am satisfied with the words from TP’s own mouth- Joe Miller did NOT say what Todd was told. And I also see that Sarah herself even tweeted that there was nothing at all to supposed insult ... even though “the lamestream media will keep trying” to make something of it. To them, it was a non-story being pushed by the media.

She directed everyone to this article:

See post 30.

You don’t seem to know anything about the election and the campaign, so to you the damage control released during the campaign is what you want to cling to, after first not even knowing that it had happened.

You can learn about the 2010 campaign, or you can continue to argue about something that you don’t know anything about, to keep yourself in ignorance of it, for whatever agenda you have.

I believe the Palin’s when they say this was pushed by the media and “there is no story there.” TP thought Joe Miller said something that he never said.

So I am not going to help the media by believing it or spreading it. Like Sarah says, there is no “there, there”

It is clear that you have some sort of agenda so it doesn’t surprise me that you are not interested in the actual facts of the campaign and Miller losing that senate seat and so severely damaging Sarah Palin, a campaign that you are ignorant about, but are determined to argue to the bitter end.

As far as what Miller “never said” you have the Fox transcript in post 18 for the first insult.

Here is gaffe 2 against Palin.

But for the second time in a month, Miller offered something that will be interpreted as well short of enthusiasm for the prospect of a Palin run at the White House. Appearing on Fox News, the Tea Party backed candidate declined to answer a yes or no question as to whether Palin is qualified for the office of president. When he relented, it was with noticeable nuance.

Now that the “Palin-Miller FEUD” narrative has been quickly established in the past 24 hours, you’d think all parties would just want to end it right? Maybe, if Joe Miller got a second chance, he could just say “yes, she is qualified to be president,” if that’s what he so believes?

Or he could just awkwardly hedge some more, and only respond affirmatively in a constitutionally technical sense:

“”MEGYN KELLY: Let me just put it out there then: are you willing to say now whether you think Sarah Palin is qualified to be President?

JOE MILLER: You know, I’ll tell you the exact same thing that I just said this last week while I was in D.C., and that is — she, if she puts her name in the hat and that’s totally up to her, there are a number of others that are there, as well, any of which would be a far better Presidential candidate than what we’ve got right now in the Oval Office — but her decision to run is hers and hers alone.

It’s not our decision as to whether or not she runs. It certainly is a sideline to what’s going on in Alaska, and we aren’t going to fall into the trap again that the media’s trying to plant and create this as being some sort of a struggle between the Murkowskis and Palins, because that’s not what this race...

KELLY: [interrupting].... I hear you, I hear you. I’m not trying to lay any trap. I’m just wondering, you know, she endorsed you, and Todd Palin was clearly upset that you wouldn’t say whether she was qualified, and I wanted to give you the chance to, you know, say “yes” or “no”, and it sounds like you’re not really going to say “yes” or “no.”

MILLER: No, let me make this unequivocal. She’s done phenomenal things for this country, there’s no question about that. She’s elevated the debate critical to our race, and let me tell you also: we know what qualified means, don’t we?
We know that we have a constitutional requirement for somebody that’s gonna run for President. Of course, she’s qualified.””

The Yale-trained lawyer Joe Miller may just not understand the question, in the way that a human would. Fox News isn’t looking for an objective, technical response. It’s a matter of personal opinion. Obviously any native-born jackass over 35 can throw his or her name into the “hat,” but do you think that person is capable of doing the job? It’s not hard.

“...MILLER: No, let me make this unequivocal..... We know that we have a constitutional requirement for somebody that’s gonna run for President. Of course, she’s qualified.”
****************************************************************
When Megyn Kelly (a semi-conservative) tried to help Miller pull his chestnuts from the fire by simply saying “Yes, she’s qualified to be president”, the very best that Miller could come up with was to say that she was over 35 years old and a natural born citizen and thus about as well qualified as 125 million other Americans.

Coming from someone who supported him in the primary and in the general election (out of state mid-range contributor) he was a big disappointment from the moment he won the nomination. The “yes, Sarah is ‘technically’ qualified to be president” non-ringing statement of support was simply one of many steps he took to self-destruct in that campaign and allow the despicable & corrupt Murkowski to return to Washington.

In my opinion, Miller would be incapable of even carrying Sarah Palin’s hunting boots for her without managing to drop them in the river.

Please.

Miller’s campaign was run into the ground by two things:

1. Huckabee People that he hired.

2. Joe Miller’s ineptitude as a fall campaigner. His answer to the Palin questions should have been a full=throated endorsement of her quals, not hemming and hawing.

Assclown.

Miller lost to a write-in candidate who used to do Columbian blow. Having lost, he dragged Alaskans through the hell of Recount. Everyone got pissed at Miller because of it.

Now Miller couldn’t beat Hitler for mayor of Tel Aviv.

Best,

Chris

I am glad that the Palins were smart enough to realize that this this misunderstanding was just an attack by the media to pit Miller and Palin against each other to benefit Murkowski.

Too bad more people didn’t follow their lead.
