New York. So hot right now, New York.
Today, in fact, is going to be even hotter than the past few days. The heat index a measurement that combines temperature with humidity to represent how hot it actually feels is expected to reach as high as 108 degrees. But when it gets this hot, not even the heat index can tell the whole story. That story can only be told through the strange happenings throughout the city, as reported on Twitter.
I live in Phoenix. I have no sympathy.
Here in Texas, I laugh at New York!
Has Mayor Loonberg asked New Yorkers to turn off the AC and fan themselves?
It’s so hot, I saw a dog chasing a cat ... and they were both walking!
Texas here. For those NY’ers complaining all I can say is..
Hot weather in the middle of July.
It is not 108 in NYC.
Drove a school bus with no a/c few years back in georgia with temps at 116
Today's Local Forecast: Sunny with a 97% chance of "spontaneous combustion"...
Welcome to our world, yankees.
p.s. It’s currently low 80s and raining at the moment here.
What is up with you and double posting the last couple weeks?
Cold snap, huh?
It’s summer, it’s supposed to be hot.
The same for “wind-chill factor”. All you need to do, to eliminate the “wind-chill” effect, is wear wind-breaking clothes, and turn your back to the wind (or wear a balaclava too). The “heat index”, or “humidex” is a little harder to escape. However, your A/C works much, much better at 90*, with a “heat index of 110*, than it would at an actual 110*. These “factors” are good for nothing but hype for weather reporters.
July has been pretty good so far. 1st week was in the low 80s. Last week was hot. This week back in the 80s and 90s. Currently 77 after the rain.
New Yorkers are a bunch of pussies!
Its 105 on the front porch right now and that’s in the shade.
105 at 2:16 pm, and that’s quite a bit cooler than yesterday.
Northern California in the Trinity Alps.
So hot that the future Mayor is keeping it in his pants so not to scald the wiener!
Hot weather in the middle of July.
Must be summertime global warming .... in the winter you have the new Ice Age .... according to the Tres Amigos (Hansen, Jones, & Mann).
Suicide is never the solution.
No kidding! I live just North of Houston. Grew up a few miles West of FW. The Summer of '80 was a killer. I worked in an non air conditioned PVC pipe plant. We had 100+ temps for over 90 days in a row. That's just the way it is in Texas...
I love how everyone in New York City thinks the rest of the country gives a rat’s backside about every twist & turn in their weather.
News flash: no one cares.
Hey, Bloomberger wants you to walk up the stairs....THAT should cool you off.
Wear a BAKLAVA??? Wouldn’t that be a TAD STICKY??? :)
You’d think so; but, when it’s too cold out for a balaclava to help, covering your face with baklava will keep you warm. ;)
Where’s Captain Renault (Casablanca) when you need him?
It's 76 as I type.
And picture in your mind five minutes away from me a gorgeous white sand beach, palm trees, sparkling aqua water with gentle white caps, azure sky, sea shells, shore birds, sailboats passing, a mai tai....and thou damn yankees beside me in this paradise.
Thermometer says just under 100 here in central Wisconsin. Its damn hot but the beer is nice and cold.
I really do not care. Burning hot where I am at. N Easterners remind me of people who always go on about their cold and flu was far worse than your cold and flu. Even though there are no facts to prove that.
My apology to anyone who is conservative from that region. I know they aren’t the whiners.
It felt like it some days.
But don't duplicate your voter registration like those NY'ers on Fla's Gold coast!
