I think they are beautiful. Of course, they’ve been reconstructed, but even the glue lines add charm to them.

I’m curious about the design of the amphora (I think that’s what they are called.) The wine jugs. Why are they always designed with pointed botoms? That doesn’t seem very practical to me. You can never set them down, unless they have a rack to hold them.

I guess I don’t know exactly how they are used, transported, and made. If I knew that I probably would know why they have pointed bottoms.
