Bill Donohue comments on David Lettermans opening monologue of July 23:
Last night, Letterman mentioned Pope Francis appearance at World Youth Day in Brazil by saying, And Im telling you if theres anything the kids cant get enough of, its a 76-year-old virgin. Come on! World Youth Day. Or as the Vatican calls it, salute to altar boys.
There are some people who cant be shamed. One might think that a man who is known for sexually harassing his staff, and for serial adultery, might be cautious about making such a statement.

Letterman is a very bitter person.
Nothing is too shameful for these Demotards....they don’t even come close to compare their lives to what they try to make fun of. It used to that humor was fun and you laughed at it. Now it is all about back biting and foul words and deeds...all for a hollow laugh.
...,and so cutting edge. Dare he speak of Huma? The Muslim brotherhood. Na. His audience is made up off little giggling fools. Conan,Letterman,Lenin. They all suck. Guttertrash talk edited, and written for thirteen year olds. TCM has been Runnin a lot of Johnny Carson shows with some of the interviews with some of his Big name guests. How refreshing to hear an interview without all the noise, and foolishness. A true Master of his craft.
Johnny was great. It’s quite a shame the way things have become. TV is full of trashy people and gay/PC shows. I’ve found I enjoy reading far better than watching television.
Johnny Carson puts all these schmucks to shame. We have went downhill in a lot of ways. TV is just one of them.
Your so Right. An avid reader myself. Just started Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”. Good stuff. Now that’s Reality TV. LOL.
...and for shacking up with woman too young for him and siring bastard child consequently, the list goes on.
If you have a Kindle, Amazon has tons of free classic novels.
Shakespeare has nothing on Honey Boo Boo. /s
I haven’t watched him, ever. Back in the day, when all my high school friends thought he was so funny, I just couldn’t see it. Now, not on your life would I watch his filth.
He should have been yanked off the air after what he ‘joked’ about Sarah’s daughter.
Honey Boo,Boo is a guilty, and horrible pleasure when I’m flippin through the channel. LOL. Thanks for the heads up on Kindle. :)
Bad Buck! No watching Honey Boo Boo.
You’re welcome. (Kindle)
Letterman is a lying, cankerous, vile, adulterer and his opinions are as meaningful as flies on shit. My apologies to flies.
Why? He always talks like a guy continuously consuming bitter sour pickles. He stopped being funny at least two decades ago...if he ever was funny. Does ANYONE still watch him?
He even looks like an over ripe tomato who has spent WAY too much time in the ozone free sun.
Seems like the “real” personality of most comics is one of bitter nasty people.
To defame Christians takes no no courage. Let’s see Letterman do a few Muslim jokes. Coward.
Agreed. Many of them are angry or depressed. Comedy seems to be a type of coping mechanism for them. George Carlin got very bitter towards the end of his life. To paraphrase,”Behind every cynic is a crushed idealist”. (Can’t remember who said it)
Carson was also a big funder of Planned Parenthood. At least he kept his crappy politics off the airwaves, though.
I never thought Letterman was funny.
But I’ve of the opinion little to nothing should be off limits for comedy. All of them make pedo priest jokes. If Bill Donohue comments about it every time it must keep him busy.
