aawwww
I laughed and I cried reading this, because I love my little cat just like Rush loves his Punkin and I know how he feels.
Aww. Pumpkin is beautiful.
Sounds like she may have had a small stroke. My family had a cat, Heidi, that was about the same age. She began to have small episodes like that one and it eventually led to a massive stroke. It left her paralyzed on one side and her pupil on that side was nonfunctional. Other than inpatient care for the duration of her remaining life, her vet said there was nothing he could do. Still hurts to this day. I hope Rush takes Punkin to see a feline neurologist ASAP to assess any damage done. I will be sending them prayers for health, happiness and healing.
I’ve been listening to Rush for so long he’s almost like a brother I’ve never met. Glad to hear Punkin is ok but at 16........you know.
Rush needs a friendly pit bull. The cat does not fit.
Before you flame. I am NOT. A cat person. I do own a cat and like it. My 2 brittanies put up with the cat. The young male Brittany gets coned into chasing the cat, BY the cat. Usually at 2 in the AM.
I understand how Rush feels. My oldest cat is 15—no major health issues, thank goodness.
Those pictures of Rush with his kitty sure are sweet. I hope he’s considering opening up his home to a new kitty soon. It would help him a lot.
Sounds like vestibular syndrome, it happens in older dogs and cats and mimics, for a short period, the signs of a stroke. Had it happen to an elderly basenji, and he couldn’t stand or hold his head up for several hours. Put him in bed, and by the next morning he was OK.
My Dog Lynn-Dah is in Intensive care right now due to anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease. She might have to be euthanized today, and i don’t even have enough money to pay for it.
I empathize with Rush so much about his kitty. It is a very human side of him that the left would prefer not to acknowledge.
Awwwwwww, poor Rush. We’ve all been there and done that, but it never gets easier.
Even when it’s someone else, you feel their pain.
He talked about carrying her up and down stairs. We essentially had our cat on hospice as we sometimes helped her eat and drink and carried her. Saki reanimated several times during her last couple of months.
Hope Punkin gets better. Rush tell us about your 3rd dog. Only know about 2.
I’m far from being a cat lover, but Punkin is my favorite.
Wow, Punkin is 16? Cats can live well over 20 years, I hope she ignores the average age for her breed and keeps giving us Punkin stories for many more years.
They make a Urinary Tract cat food that will combat this condition. Usually female cats won’t get it, it is more common in male cats. I have a male(3 cats altogether)that suffers from this and I simply feed him a steady diet of Urinary tract cat food. For a while I had to buy a special prescription food from the vet but then I was able to switch to over the counter brands. It has been years since he had an episode. I am surprised Rush’s vet doesn’t know this.
Rush is amazing but if I want cat stories I’ll tune to the Serengeti Channel.Osama Obama’s in the process of giving voting rights to 30 million illiterate wetbacks and bringing the world’s best health care system to its knees. Please Rush...no more golf...no more Apple...no more “Pumpkin”.Leave that stuff to Oprah and Ellen Degenerate.
A man who loves a cat cannot be evil.
Tell the libs.
His obvious love for that dear cat during that monologue was charming.
She’s a cutie!
