Ha... i would have been bummed! In the summer, as a teen, i would get up, maybe wash my car... cute 1982 Mustang... and my niece (who is my age) and i would go through the Jack drive-thru... order 2 tacos, fries and a Coke each... and then after a night of dancing, or cruising, we would go through the Jack drive-thru and again order 2 tacos, fries and a Coke each!

I’m sure that during the intervening 35 years, some method
has been devised to manipulate the dang tacos without finger damage.

OSHA would have been proud of me for minimizing hazardous work practices.

I always customize just a little bit (usually ask for no onions cause I don’t like them raw) different so it’s fresh.

And I learned that Frisco trick a while back. LOL

I worked in fast food as a teen, and they do not keep their food under heat lamps for hours... at the end of one shift at closing time, i tried to buy the last Big Mac, but it had reached its maximum time limit under the heat lamp, and the mgr would not sell it to me... i would not let up so she finally just gave it to me... whatever didn’t sell by the time limit was tossed out...

You don’t eat at a delicious restaurant because your server was gay?

Wow.

McDonald’s has little packets of Picante sauce for their breakfast burritos. I always ask for one when ordering the dollar chicken sandwich. It’s free (unlike the nugget sauces) and really livens the sandwich up.

If a restaurant worker makes little, if any, distinction between a butthole and a vagina, why would one further tempt fate and order food there?

We're talking about Steak and Shake, not some "delicious" restaurant.

And yes, if the waiter chooses to blatantly offend people with his "gay" act, then I will choose another place to eat. I don't care who he chooses as a partner in the privacy of his own home, but I do care if he tries to carry that act out in public.

It's not like these two were just a tiny bit light in the loafers - they were flaunting their abnormal behavior and it was repulsive.

Just about anything you ask that adds one microsecond of labor to your order will get your food spat upon. From what I’ve heard, there are places like DC and Philly where they’ll spit on your food just for being white.

I haven’t eaten at a Mickey Dee’s in many years.

I’ve been to a Sonic drive-in 3 times and will never go again.

I still haven’t eaten anything.

Hello? Anybody here? Hello? Does this speaker work? ...drive away.

That's actually not a bad idea.

If someone is willing to do a Jesse Jackson and spit in your food, imagine what a socially-conscious poofter could come up with...

You got lucky. After working an extremely late night run to get product out on a Friday night, I went to the local Burger King late on a Saturday morning holiday weekend. I asked for a Double Whopper with cheese to go, since I was starving and just wanted to grab a quick bite and relax back home, and the register kid slowly rang it up.

Then he walked back a couple of steps to where a single boxed one was sitting there on the 'ready' slide, and put it in a bag and handed it over.

Considering that the kid had been leaning with crossed arms watching the indoors telly, and there was only one other customer there and no one else immediately before or behind this order, I was suspicious since nobody seemed to be in a hurry to do any work there behind the counter.

"I would like a fresh one," I told the kid.

"This IS fresh, sir," he stated. "We JUST made it."

Being dead tired, I just took the bloody bag he kept proffering and went back home.

Mistake.

The buns were soggy from condensation, the lettuce was brown dry, and wilted, and the bloody cheese had absorbed so much moisture it had turned into some type of drippy coating over a stone cold pair of very stiff patties.

Threw the thing away in disgust, since I was just too tired to go make a fuss. Never went back to that location, and ever since then I always keep a close eye on the 'cook' staff to make sure no further unpleasantries occurred.

And their prices are competitive with McDonald’s and Burger King.

Now that I'm seeing $6-$7-$8 show up on their menues, we spending a few bucks more and getting a REAL dinner at the sit-down places. McD is still good for a couple of quickie $1 McDoubles when on the road though. If we have the time though, forget 'em.
