House of Cards star Kevin Spacey thinks President Barack Obama deserves more credit for what hes accomplished.
President Obama will go down as having passed some of the most historic bills in the history of this country, Spacey told Hot Press magazine in a recent interview. That despite constant knee-jerk opposition from the Republicans. A lot of people dont realize how much hes done in the most difficult of circumstances.
As for Congress, Spacey is less impressed.
Its maybe interesting for an American audience thats sat through the most non-productive Congress in the history of the United States, in terms of bills passed, to watch a fictional show [House of Cards] where some bills actually get passed, he said.
On House of Cards, Spacey plays a congressman who will stop at nothing to advance his own career. The role, which earned him an Emmy nod, intrigued the actor who said hes been around politics from a very young age.

I could not care less what any actors think. Period.
Remind me not to watch anything else that has this airhead in it.
I certainly realize what that stupid SOB has done.
Kevin Spacey is has the right name he is a spaceman. A large space between his ears that is unfilled.
I wish he’d go to k-pax.
not smart enough to go piss off half his potential audience...or maybe he thinks Hollyweird is flopping so badly because they are just putting out garbage movies...
Appropriately named spacey!
I’m with Kevin on this. Barry deserve more credit for all of the “phony” scandals going on in his regime and his failed ObamaCare jirclecerk. Unfortunately, the Kenyan always wants to blame everyone else for HIS failures.
But he seems so smart on tv! Gosh, it’s like, somebody puts words in his mouth or something...
The original Brit version of this series has held up very well, we binge watched the entire set a couple of weeks ago. Not sure how it would translate into US politics.
these people actually think Martin Sheen was a President and the writers that tell them what to say know more about the country than the framers of the constitution.
This guy is a total dumbass. Who GOS what he thinks?! Why has this been posted?
Yup....I think the reason movies are losing out $$ is that more people like me aren’t going if someone is in it that has shot his mouth off....It was better when actors were a “mystery” or the studios managed their PR.
All I can see in the character they are playing is their stupid comments...so I don’t enjoy it.
Hollywood Actors - Is there any subject they aren’t ignorant on and wrong-headed?
Hah...that was my first thought as well...
He is a one heck of a good actor...
What would you expect any not so hidden homosexual male to say about Urkel?
BTW he is terrific in House of Cards.
The show is a piece of crap too.
Unhappily, the only time Spacey is worth listening to is when someone else writes the words. . .and even then it’s often liberal drivel. But, he is still one of my favorite jesters, um, er, I mean actors.
MEGA DITTOS TO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched Season1 of the US House of Cards on Netflix after the season had ended. It was actually pretty good, but I could only stand to watch one episode at a time, then had to wait a day or two to see more. The show’s characters are too much like their real life counterparts: Soulless characters who seek (and achieve) power at any cost.
Spacey is a one trick pony whose typecast is that of a psychopath. He always plays the same boring, sniveling and predictable character. He was a total assclown when he tried to assume Gene Hackman’s role as Lex Luthor, and I was glad to see him get caught and beaten in 21.
He’s a tool both on-screen and off.
These stupid knee-jerk lefty hollywood assholes never cease to amaze me. Oh well, I barely know who the tool is, since I’ve been boycotting hollywood for several decades now.
More proof that homosexuals lust after Obozo....
