Oh, one beat you. But definitely beat those central and east people!

Liking the weather? This has been an almost perfect CO summer. My pansies (flowers) are in heaven. Never seen them so big, plentiful, and colorful.

I think he should be banned as all he does is sit around in his underwear waiting for the new threads and then we never see him again until the next race.

But I degrease...

Here’s some pics of the Nascar “air force”

I know Obama doesn’t like folks zipping around in private jets (unless of course they contribute to his campaign), but mouse over the pic to see who’s on board.

Anybody else remember the 70s “fuel crisis” when the feds wanted to shut down Nascar and Big Bill France pointed out that the airplane fuel used by baseball and football to travel dwarfed what was used on Sunday races...

Here’s what Tony Stewart does during the week in summer.
The guy can be rather prickly at times, but there’s no doubt he’s a wheel man supreme.

Surely you aren’t talking bout me cause I wear my J.J. jammies when I’m on this thread.

I wonder what the chance of rain is on Sunday at the Poconos. I’ll watch the race but I’ll have to record it due to family events.

Finally dug up my garlic. Not much gardening done this year cause of MIL’s illness. Maybe next year.

A friend of mine sold his auto repair shop and home here in Benderville and he and his wife moved to Charlotte NC to be near their son who won the first Allan Kulwicki scholarship to the school of Engineering at the University of North Carolina a few years ago. MY friend landed a dream job working for Humpy Wheeler at Charlotte Motor Speedway building those crazy flame throwing monsters at the track and he also designed the Thunder Roadsters and small Legend Cars.

Humpy asked him to build a 1939 Ford coupe hot rod that was feathered in one of the rodding magizines and has won several awards…

Well how cool is that and we love our son dearly but I wouldn’t sell everything to move to Charlotte NC to be near him.

Sorry about the rust issue but the question must be asked: On you or in the garden??

Their son got a try out with Jack Roush for a truck ride but I think David Ragan got the seat...

You got me curious now. I wonder how many serious and talented drivers there are for every seat in a cup, nationwide or truck vehicle?

The NASCAR 2013 year calendar has J.J. as their (fully dressed) Mr. August and the Trans Siberian Orchestra just announced their winter tour dates. Where the heck has this year gone??
