On his radio show this morning, Glenn Beck not-so-fondly recalls the time he was employed by ABC News and became Diane Sawyer‘s “little bitch” before their working relationship soured and “she became the biggest bigot I’ve ever seen.”
According to Beck, during his brief stint as an ABC contributor, Sawyer was fond of him and would call him up frequently to discuss what sorts of ideas she had for improving television. “I was Diane Sawyer’s little bitch,” he told his co-hosts today, recalling how she’d call and e-mail him so frequently his wife became concerned.
However, he alleged, Sawyer stopped dealing with Beck after the Council on American–Islamic Relations “went down to ABC” and demanded that the network cease giving him a platform or they will boycott ABC, its parent company Disney, and the Disney parks.
“All of the sudden, I can’t get Diane on the phone,” he recalled. “Eight months later, I have lunch with her, and she becomes the biggest bigot I’ve ever seen in my life.”
As Beck continued to posit his theories on why the friendship went south, co-host Stu Burguiere mocked Beck for speaking so frankly, telling him: “Don’t even think about what you’re saying. Just go with it.”

Well, whether it’s true or not, making a public attack like this on a former friend is, in fact, the sort of thing you’d expect from a “little bitch.”
Hey, no one can MAKE you be their little bitch. You have to do it to yourself.
Slinging “stuff” only works when you are throwing it back and KNOW where it came from.
I too have been waiting with great anticipation for at least one of them to materialize unless they have and I just slept through them.............zzzzzzzzzzz

Glen Beck is obviously drinking again. Or he’s had some sort of psychotic break.
The year was 1968. I was working for WLKY-TV, the ABC affiliate (now CBS) in Louisville, KY.
Diane Sawyer, from a very rich and famous family in Louisville, was the TV “Weather Girl.”
She would come to work wearing flip-flops and a sundress and not much else.
She’d pull the weather info from the AP teleprinter and use that to do the weather forecast.
She did not appear to be even a little brighter than most. Good looks, and she was a looker, for sure, and a rich, famous family is what she had going for her.

He certainly has been peppy lately.
His show is fun.
The thing Beck was really whining about was CAIR, and not Diane Sawyer...
Diane Sawyer is a cut-throat when intervierwing someone. She can smile while she sticks the knife in and twists it.
I don’t get the appeal of this man Beck, nor the squealing Malkin or Levin. There is something annoying about them. They all seem very arrogant (though often right on the issues).
Rush is arrogant, too, but he’s funny and tongue-in-cheek about it. Maybe it’s their humorless approach that grates on me.
