When somebody mentions the cocktails of drugs (including - no ESPECIALLY - the malaria ones) these guys get pumped full of, I’ll listen. But that’s the elephant in the room we don’t talk about for some reason. I guess we’re afraid of sounding like Tom Cruise.

I’ve never even been *close* to combat but I’ve had contact with those who have,having been assigned to medical units.Combat can change a guy...more often than not those changes are not positive ones.Yes,mental problems may have existed in a particular soldier *before* combat but even in *those* cases the combat experience will very probably worsen things.Sometimes a lot.
