Looks like it's different unless my PC settings went into disarray.

Honestly, I don’t refer to Yahoo for news. However, I do use their site for MLB boxscores- that’s it!

They’re in the process of changing it. For the next few weeks, Yahoo is going to display a number of new versions before announcing the “official” replacement.

I think they changed to their corporate philosophy of “EffYou.”

I don.t read it for news either. But, if you’re surfing and see it, it’s a mess!

we got dozens of spam emails a day on yahoo email

and they were nearly all obviously from the same sex pill company

and they were so obviously spam, even using words like Big Erection in their title lines

and yet, Yahoo still would not filter them out....

I would be unable to recommend using Yahoo to anybody, until they clean up this (very annoying) problem...

If you want to know more about it, they posted about it on their blog. They are calling it 30 days of change. Seems a little desperate, but better than a lot of the logo redesigns recently (The Gap). http://yahoo.tumblr.com/post/57582020969/kicking-off-30-days-of-change

They’re changing lots of things. I dropped all of my proprietary accounts with them, and have been using Outlook.com.

Yahoo had a serious security breach a while back and a LOT of accounts were compromised. I imagine that many of them are now being used to send out spam.

I SEE.
some of the spam comes from Yahoo accounts yes, but a lot of it comes from other less well-known sources

it is all the same spam, however, so it almost certainly has a common originator, if not common isp

my complaint ...yahoo won’t filter it, yahoo won’t respond to requests to filter it,... yahoo now won’t even accept email help requests anymore (all day today anyway).... and about all you can get is the idea that you can enter up to 500 isp’s to block, if you click all that info in yourself.

NO I do NOT want to click 500 isp’s in myself.
I want Yahoo to filter the dam*ed krap out, to begin with, just like most other email providers do (or try to do)

Apparently, Yahoo has more important things to do than filtering spam and encrypting the user names and passwords of people that use their services — like designing a new logo.

well, yahoo can put this in their damn*d new logo,
since yahoo email service consists of stuffing so many of these spam notes into users’ inboxes....

“S OFT V IAG RA WILL BR ING YOU AB S OLU TE SEXUAL FREE DOM”

the above is the title line of the spam that just arrived as we were chatting here on FR

why the H*ll can’t an isp filter out such obvious spam??????

I cannot possibly recommend yahoo to anybody, we get hundreds of the same kind of spam on yahoo and it is absolutely maddening, especially if you need to have your phone beep for incoming email
