In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

holograph \HOL-uh-graf, -grahf, HOH-luh-\, adjective
1. wholly written by the person in whose name it appears: a holograph letter.
noun
1. a holograph writing, as a deed, will, or letter.

Example sentences:
The will was holograph, for Mr. Utterson, though he took charge of it now that it was made, had refused to lend the least assistance in the making of it...
-- Robert Louis Stevenson, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, 1886

“An unexpectedly thoughtful young man," said Chase, straightening the frame of (Queen Victoria's holograph letter. Originally, he had planned to put the Emerson autograph between those of Longfellow and Tennyson but then he had had second thoughts about keeping a valuable letter addressed not so much to him as the Secretary of the Treasury and so, with a sad heart, he handed it over to the Treasure archives...
-- Gore Vidal, Lincoln: A Novel, 1984

Etymology:
Holograph entered English in the 18th century from the Greek holos + graph, meaning "whole written”.

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Rather amazing that the Queen of England had the ability, what with all the distractions her affairs of State should provide, to focus with a laser-like intensity on creating a holograph for Mr. Lincoln.

Obama claims that his memoirs were holograph
“I wrote these books, like I sign my own autograph”
It seems that nobody cares
That they were penned by Bill Ayers
Barry will brag that he wrote his own epitaph

Despite his two intellectual holographs, that he supposedly wrote himself, Obama is an idiot. Obama can’t remember Dr. Jill Biden’s name or where the Gulf of Mexico is...yep, geography...those 57 states are confusing.

I'd write a holographic will, but my handwriting is as opaque as the labyrinthine machinations of the Obama Regime and its benighted apparatchiks.

I tried to write the address on a package, but my pen was empty and FedEx couldn’t read my hollowgraphic label write.

Obumbles don’t know nuthin’ about no holographs — from his “autobiographies” to his speeches. Everything is done by somebody else.
