It’s Friday and Our Dear Leader is leaving for vacay—what documents will be dumped today?
Two more summer blockbusters that should be total flops (Matt Damon’s politically charged as pro immigration) Elyssieum (and I don’t care if I spelled it wrong) and Oprah’s Butler (but the original O stepped in it big time w/her “millions of lynchings” and Trayvon is today’s Emmitt Till). Two more Hollywood failures? My thought, it’s not just the poor quality of the movies....IT’S THE ECONOMY. NO ONE HAS $30—$40 extract to go see a movie that you can see in two-three months on demand.
My little rant...but I hope both the ultra lib stars have, as they say in twitter land, #epicFAILS!

BTW bought some fantastic corn at the farmers market yesterday. Mrs p6 ate...wait for it....5 bbig ears!
It was from Burns Angus farrm in Lawrence county. They sell chemical free, grass fed beef and lamb as well. If we get a freezer I’m thinking about getting a lamb. 50+ pounds butchered and vac sealed for around $365. That would last us for a year!
Another vacation. So what else is new? lol.
Is is me, or is the woman who talks about the latest shows and movies (in between Q&R segments) really, really annoying? Hollywood type all excited-sounding about “Pretty Little Liars” (her sisters ABSOLUTE FAVORITE show), etc. Between that and, later, the incessant viagra and all the testosterone commercials. I end up turning down the sound and forget to turn it up again!
That’s MY rant for the day!
YES, very annoying! I do the same thing and if I’m in bed sometimes I fall asleep and miss the show.
I thought it was just me!!! Almost ALL their commercials are annoyers!!! I know that’s the revenue, but does anyone actually test them (ie, are potential customers just tuning out?)
The absolute WORST series of commercials HAS TO BE the UPMC “women.” Two come to mind—the annoying office workers discussing childbirth “what??? I’m having my babies ONLY at Magee” (which even 16 years ago when I had my last child was a “factory” type setting)...and the one that just riles me is the 50 something woman (in January, 2014) STANDING IN AN $80,000 kitchen (replete w/high end stainless appliances; double wall ovens; and what looks to be either a Viking or Thermodor 6 or 7k stove) and girlfriend WHINES about not getting her “procedure” done at UPMCPassavant. She is whiny and annoying, and for anyone who has to deal w/public on the phone daily she is a micro representation of the “i didnt read the instructions, but I’m going to BLAME you service industry phone answerer for MY troubles.
Rant off. And I gotta turn the vol back up. Honest P6 WE NEED you to guest host. Pags is great til the repetition repeats! Ugh!!!!

Hi Greg! Yeppers...the Persied (sp?) tonight and tomorrow (wee hours of Aug 11 and 12).
Right now SW PA is supposed to be just partly cloudy...so maybe we can see the meteor showers:)
Also, in the coming week(s) a chance for Aurora (northern lights) to dip as far south as we are (due to the solar pole shift).
Woo Hoo..saw a few last nite plus an iridium flare...Comet coming also!!
