I have some friends who moved to the Boston area and they say they can’t find a good pizza anywhere.

Boston pizza is overrated. I lived there. The North End has excellent restaurants some of which have good pizza (Antico Forno). Pizzeria Regina is legndary but usually packed. If anything, I’d get bakery pizza in Boston. But Boston isn’t truly “a slice” city as is New York if that is desired. Boston is seafood, pubs and Dunkin Donuts.

pizzas that are churned out in the Mexican border town of San Diego.
I'm NYC born and raised. My first exposure to pineapple pizza was mid 80s in San Diego.
Made me want to barf just looking at it.

You might enjoy this...Many years ago,...early 80's.. New York magazine did its first survey of the best pizza in NYC..it's since become an annual feature of the magazine. But the FIRST winner was...wait for it..Goldberg's KOSHER Pizza in lower Manhattan. This was before the Internet..but the story generated tens of thousands of letters

A few years ago, I was in Los Angeles. I asked a person if there was a good pizza joint. He told me the name and the intersection. Then he said “In St. Louis...That's the closest good pizza place to Los Angeles that I know.

I have some friends who moved to the Boston area and they say they cant find a good pizza anywhere. Agreed...in fact; pizza in Red England is crap, by and large.

Best pizza I ever had (over 30 years ago)
And you'll never find better - because your sense of taste/smell are 30 years older and getting older!

T. Anthony’s. They’ve even got a decades old photo of the Pope riding by in front of their restaurant.

My parents used to take us there as children mmmppphhh years ago. It was still great last time I was there 3-4 years ago.

Imagine theres no pizza
I couldnt if I tried
Eating only tacos
Or Kentucky Fried
Imagine only burgers
Its frightening and sad
Youre lucky you have pizza
To feed your kids for you
Only frosting or cookies
And no dishes you must do
Imagine eating pizza
Each and every day
You may say that its junk food
But to me its so much more
It gives my life its meaning
And it makes a lot of dough
Imagine mozzarella
Anchovies on the side
And maybe, pepperoni
Rounds out your pizza pie
Imagine getting pizza
Delivered to your door
You dont have to give up now
On my skateboard I will go
Ill be back in 30 minutes
I just bought Dominoes
All I am saying
Is give pizza a chance
All I am saying
Give pizza a chance!
All I am saying
Is give pizza a chance
All I am saying
Youve got to, got to give pizza a chance!
