Dominicans are the largest immigrant group in NYC so yes, they get their own parade, as btw, do the Poles, Germans, and Italians although all of them are smaller in terms of thier immigrant populations in NYC.

NY Post’s July 28 exposé found food bought w/ EBT cards was being shipped to the Dominican Republic where the food is sold on the black market.
NY state Repub Sen. Tom Libous has twice passed welfare-reform bills that die in the Dem-controlled Assembly. Obama ordered New York state prohibit EBT cards usage inside strip clubs, liquor stores and casinos before Feb 2014 or take a $120-million cut in next year’s federal aid-----the US budgets $80-billion for its food-stamp program.
Vote-crazed Assembly Dems----scared of losing latino votes---say they'd rather restrict welfare cash via agency regs. But those regs haven’t materialized.

The EBT food-stamp fraudsters have other tricks----Bronx grocers ring up bogus $250 transactions with the fraudster's EBT card. In exchange, the stores hand her $200 cash and pocket the rest.
No goods are exchanged.
Instead, the thieving EBT card-holder sends the money to the Dominican Republic — minus what she's spending on liquor or other nonfood items.
“We do it all the time, and a lot of people do this,” the scammer told the NY Post reporter. “It’s a way of laundering money, but it’s easier because it’s free.”

The scammers are clearly falsifying official US govt documents to get EBT cards. That incurs multiple crimes----and several felonies----forgery could be involved.

There needs to be investigations on several fronts. Taxpayers demand to know the full extent of US dollars being drained from our economy into Third World hellholes----including US foreign aid, food stamp foreign aid, wire transfers of EITC SS, SSI, UI, welfare checks, etc.

There are more Dominicans in NYC than there are people in general in Portland, OR.
There are about 700,000 Puerto Ricans in NYC as well.
They both have parades, and both groups in NYC sent a lot of members to fight and die in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf Wars.
If Irish, Italians, Poles, Germans, and EVERY little European subgroup gets its own day and parade in NYC, I think the Dominicans are entitled.

LOL and too many Christmases and too many Sundays. Too many parties. I could go on. I’ve been to two parades this year and both were wonderful silly joyful events, each celebrated a small community with little or no excuse. Something about a linear party.
The Dominicans are not a little subgroup, in NYC they are the largest group from Latin America. I don’t know if every country from Latin America has a parade. I know there is a small Cuban parade in May, a Puerto Rican parade to celebrate their patron saint, John the Baptist, in June and an overall Latin American parade in October. We have the biggest St Patrick’s Day parade in the world, and also parades for Greeks, Israelis and Indians. We also have a Columbus Day parade and a very large Thanksgiving Day parade.
There are no Cubans here illegally, due to The Cuban Adjustment Act of 1962. We also have an economic embargo against Cuba, so money and goods cannot be sent there in the same way that it is sent to other countries. There is no such place as “Dominica Republic”. There is the island of Dominica in the Caribbean, and there is the Dominican Republic on the island of Hispaniola.
He looks quite insane. Of course he has to be missing something to be able to show his face in public. Bill Clinton had the same immunity from feelings of shame, one of the symptoms of the sociopath. Probably applies to Carlos Danger too.
