Breaking Bad- 509 (Spoiler Potential)

Posted on 08/13/2013 11:08:30 AM PDT by Mr. K

Who saw the first episode of the last season of Breaking Bad last night?

Is this the most awesome show ever on TV or what?

The acting is first rate all around.

When Hank punches Walt it looks like he is going to go all out right then and there, but as Walt circles back around him and stares Hank down at the end, it shows he is clearly in charge of the situation

Hank?

I meant Walt.

Walt will wind up dead or in jail (my guesses).

Sorry. i've not been sleeping.

I think Walt ends up getting Hank to go off the deep end and go to prison for either hitting him or framing him. What could be worse than death for a DEA agent?

Last night was the first episode of the last season.

We already knew Walt is dying from cancer again.

Last year all took place around birthday 52 and the end-of-season flash-forward showed many things:

He is alone on his 53rd birthday, his hair has grown back and he has a beard (stopped Chemo) but he is coughing up blood so you know he is dying, he bought a machine gun.

This episode (509) started with more foreshadowing- apparently after he picks up the machine gun he goes to his house, which is now a boarded up and fenced-in wreck, just to retrieve a vial of RICIN he had stored.

The next door neighbor lady looked petrified at seeing him there- I thought I heard him call her “Carol” once but “Karen” another time.. may be wrong about that- but that shows something major happened and she knows, although being next door to a fenced-in house would be hard to miss.

I can’t picture Hank doing anything FOR NOW except try to manuever the kids and Walt’s wife out of the picture to ‘safety’(Skyler is such a cool name!)

Hank is awesome in that his first instict is always about protecting someone else.

The woman shipping meth to Czeck needs Walt- I can’t imagine her deciding to just go away - she is crazy-dangerous

Hank is really in a catch 22 situation, everything I can think he might do about it has it’s own huge risks and negatives attached.

the "something major happened" I believe is a DEA no-knock warrant and bad things went down and Walt's family was killed. Hence the machine gun and the ricin. Walt is going to serve up some revenge. (Even though his actions brought about the tragedy!)

hmmmm now i am posting to myslef- I love this show!

I think the corporate exec woman kidnaps walts wife and kids in order to force him to work for her

That gives Hank an ‘out’ in that he can force himself to believe Walt was blackmailed all along to going into it

My opinion and it is just mine.

Is that this universe that Mr. Gilligan has wrote is a very moral one. One in where the wages of sin are death. And we’ve seen it hit all those who come into the sphere of Walt White.

We’ve seen Walt go from a good man who did bad things to being fully corrupted.

I think I have a hard time with any ending other than Walt’s death.

My only real question is should it be Jesse or Hank or kills him and I suspect it will be Jesse.

"you know the house was boarded up by the feds so SOMETHING goes down with them, but Walt is not in jail so..."

The raid goes down when Walt isn't home.

I figure Skylar freaks out and goes for a weapon to protect the baby when the doors are kicked in thinking its the cartel coming after them and the FEDS start shooting. Jr. rushes into the fray and gets hammered also.

Watch the episode again and you will notice most of the doors INSIDE the house are kicked down and in the room where he gets the ricin the door is laying on the floor and destroyed like it was hammered off the hinges.

I do!!!!!!

Here is my prediction.....
Walt will go down in a blaze of glory...in other words...he will be killed...he is a cold blooded killer now....
Walt’s Cancer will go back into remission.
His wife said she was waiting for him to get cancer and die.
Hank will not accept being threatened by Walt, and will try to kill him.
Now here is something to think about......

His son Jr.
Everyone thinks he is stupid because he is handicapped.....I do not think so....
I think he has been fully aware of what has been going on.....but he loves his family, and he LOVES his uncle Hank....when he finds out that his dad threatened Hank.....well who would you least think would end up killing Walt???? Think about it....that would freak everyone out!!!

I believe he called her Carol both times.

My perception was the house had been seized by the Federal Govt. because the truth had come out that WW was Heisenburg the Meth drug lord of the southwest. Therefore, there must be a warrant out for his arrest(similar to Whitey Bulger).

Also, that WW had been on the run for some time. Remember the first scene from the first half of this season? WW was driving a Volvo with NH plates with the “Live Free or Die” state motto? He had a different vehicle in this foreshadowing scene at his old house. He switched cars.

But WHO spray painted HEISENBERG on the wall in the living room?

hint: It was someone who knew Walt was Heisenberg.

Never was a huge fan of Lois, but she is better than Skyler.

Does anyone like Skyler White?

There is ganger tags all over the inside of the house.

I am betting the DEA claims Walt instigated the gunfight and then reports to the media he is Heisenberg and on the lam. BOLO and such which accounts for the reaction of the neighbor.

After the dust settled the gangers and skaters tagged the house. (Note the skaters using the pool)

Modern day version of classic Greek tragedy.

One of the best written shows I've ever seen

From Tim Whately the dentiat who converted to Judaism for the jokes to Malcolm's dad, to Walter White. I never thought that Bryan Cranston was that talented till he got the right vehicle.

Probably right. But I wonder if Jesse and his stoner friends have some responsibility?

That’s the way they ended the Newhart show with Bob waking up next to the wife from a previous series.
