The possibility of an active NFL player coming out as gay remains a hot topic. Speaking on the subject, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III believes there are gay players in the league right now and thinks there's a window of opportunity for them to make it known.

Come out... to serve what purpose?
RGIII needs to stop seeking out cameras (and complaining about his coaches too) and focus more on his rehab and prep for the season.
How can you tell is an NFL team has too many gay players???
Too many receivers?
To make people barf a little when they hear about it.
I gotta call Bob Golic during his show tomorrow on WNIR.
...and not enough tight ends.
considering the promiscuity of the homosexual community, it's obvious he putting his name on the list and trolling for future hookups........
spot on windsorknot. If they continue to use the term ‘’gay’’ I submit we call the transgender group mudpeople
"Yeah, man. I think there are [gay players] right now, and if they're looking for a window to just come out, I mean, now is the window. My view on it is, yes, I am a Christian, but to each his own. You do what you want to do. If some Christians want to look at being gay as a sin, then thinking about other women, committing adulteryor any of those other sins that are in the Biblethose are sins, too. And God looks at all of us the same way."
Lets just say they are all gay and move on. They aren’t really but who cares?
The player drama is a contrived distraction to keep us from paying attention to the scum bag owners and their rent-seeking on the taxpayer’ back.
Times certainly have changed...I still remember dancing to this...
Michael Henderson - Wide Receiver
He’s a legend in his own mind.
For the purpose of making us sick of watching fags play on Sundays. Makes the F’ stand out more in NFL.
Exactly. Who cares? I don’t need to know every actor, athlete, politician, cop, teacher, etc., who is gay? What’s the point? It just allows bad images in my mind and I don’t want to go there.
Why would a man who is accepted in a man’s sport, and honored by it’s fans want to come out and tell everyone that he takes it in the butt?
Does he think he will thrill fans when he bends over in the huddle?
Homosexuality is wrong but hetero men are just as promiscuous as homo men. Homo men just have more willing partners.
Oops, now RGIII has stepped in it. He just called homosexuality a sin.
Here he is trying to be PC, and steps in it.
How long until he's made to apologize?
While we're on the topic, WHY must every NFL interview now include questions about gay players?
Are they trying to trap some more Reggie Whites, so they can be shamed/shunned?
And ESPN can get all huffy?
“Homosexuality is wrong but hetero men are just as promiscuous as homo men. Homo men just have more willing partners.”
Nailed it. There’s a reason there are no hetero men prowling the shrubbery of public parks at 3 in the morning looking for free anonymous sex with strangers: Lack of women willing to participate in such things.
I think baseball is the sport that will be most affected by its first openly gay player. That guy is going to be able to crowd the plate, every time he is hit by pitch it’s going to be a question for some people, right?
“... would accurately refer to themselves as homosexuals or sexual deviants....”
I prefer the old classic, queer.
if I’m in the NFL and gay, and noone knows it....why would it be to my advantage to “come out”??
It’s a good question. Adulation from the media, guarantee your name will be remembered after your career is over? Possibility of different standards for penalties/calls you are involved with, a slight edge in future contract negotiations? Of course all those things would only be possible in today’s climate, 20 years ago it’s not even a question, in my opinion.
The Niners just drafted me as a wide receiver, sweet cheeks!
