We have long ragged on BMW drivers for their terrible parking skills and general assholery, and Toyota Prius drivers for their holier-than-thou smugness. Now, it has been confirmed — through the miraculous power of science — that their owners are, in fact, terrible and inconsiderate motorists.
Our old pal Benjamin Preston reports in the New York Times on a study done by the Institute of Personality and Social Research at the University of California Berkeley which links poor driving habits and wealth. Basically, rich people are more likely to be jerks behind the wheel.
The researchers examined how motorists in California behave when approaching intersections with pedestrians, where they are required to stop, as well as how well they take turns at four-way stop intersections.

My wife made me buy BMWs for the family for years. She still has a little 2-seater to ride around in with the top down. At one point we owned three at the same time. She always hated when I told that joke.
Yep, @#!I& Prius Drivers, their cars can’t even do 65 yet they think because they are driving a “green” car they have the right to hog the left lane
And BMWs, They are just supped up Volkswagen Rabbits. I never understood the appeal.
Seems like about every fifth car on the SOCAL freeways is a friggin’ Prius. I hate them.

Prius top speed is a little over 100 mph.
I rented one once in NJ on a business trip. Nice little car to drive. Had as much pep as most of the small to medium rental cars.
Also got 52 mpg over the course of the trip. Not too shabby.
I drive a BMW. A 3-series. E-46 to be precise. In my opinion, its the best handling car on the road. And oh so much fun. Haters.
Yes, I know I shouldn't have done what I did. I should have let it go, and I usually do. I was just fed up at that moment and the rest escalated from there.
Yes the Prius has some excellent engineering.

Once upon a time, I started tabulating all the retail stores that were termed “off limits” by FReepers for one crazy reson or another.
Eventually every national outfit was added to the list for one reason or another.
I’m sure I could do the same thing with vehicles, LOL.
I drive an Audi A6. I enjoy all the benefits of a German luxury car w/o the negative connotations mentioned in this article. :-)
I used to drive a H3, and got an avg of one finger a week.. I strive to have a beemer one day.
