What's wrong with FR index page... Won't finish loading?

The index page of FreeRepublic randomly stops loading in mid sentence in the middle of a thumbnail article of the body. . . And re-loading just finds another random stopping place. Not good fellows.

I see you're having issues on pagination in the threads, but this is on the first page of the index.

Mine has been fine all day. Such problems can be on either end. Your ISP, your PC, or their ISP or their servers.

Change both Thread Pagination and Browsing to 50 or 20 and see if that helps.

No, this is a well-known ongoing problem with FR software.

The workaround is to go to your account page and set your preferences to 20 articles, 20 replies. But it is a workaround, and is not a problem with users’ PCs or user’s ISPs.
