NOOKSACK, Wash. A group of fleeing robbery suspects was ahead of pursuing officers when they decided to paint their getaway car a new color, but they forgot to change the license plate on the vehicle.
The Bellingham Herald reports (http://bit.ly/15jkrHv) the alleged driver, 22-year-old Westley C. French, outran the law for five more hours this past weekend.
French and his alleged accomplices used those fleeting moments of freedom to give his green Nissan 240 SX a new coat of black spray paint. But they neglected to swap out the car's South Dakota plates when border agents found the car and the suspects outside of Nooksack Valley High School.
Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell says the suspects were wanted for beating two men during a car robbery.
HAHAHA! They didn’t change their *OUT OF STATE* plates?!
“Works in the Grand Theft Auto video games, why didn’t it work for reals” - Stupid Criminal
GTA changes the plates.
If that won’t get their probation sentences extended, I don’t know what will.
I just like the fact that the name of the town is Nooksack.
Holy “Earl Scheib,” Batman!
I’d like to see a picture. I have to suspect that any paint job done in less than 5 hours (and let me guess....canned spray paint?) would cause the car to stick out like a sore thumb.
It’s a 240 SX, a car that is at minimum 15 years old, and was probably used hard its whole life. A rattle can paint job was probably an upgrade.
There are all sorts of funny names for towns in the state of Washington.
Here’s a list:
Dexter by the Sea
Should of had one of these;
Gooood morning NSA.
Calling all cars ... calling all cars ... be on the lookout for a blue car with duckies and bunnies.
getting busted in the Nooksack is never good.
