Yes, that is what happened.
Have listened to the people on the Weather Channel on occasion and they have tried really hard to put a lot of spin on their description of every little wave since the first of June. It would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic.
We need a Cat 1 to hit somewhere south of Corpus and then maybe we would get some of that much needed rain. Just no more Ike’s please.
None that I know of. Just my own observation having lived here 27 years.
Wasnt Hurricane Katrina Bushs fault? According to the liberals, Bush and FEMA mismanaged evacuating and recovery efforts. Did the liberals lie???
The levees failed due to mismanagement by the Corp of Engineers.
The way I heard it, the money intended to maintain the levees was spirited off to other uses by the RAT administrations of NOLA.
Ike sucked
Ike sucked.”
Actually it blew. LOL. I don’t think I’ll ever get everything put back to normal, even after all this time. Just too much not covered by insurance and huge wind insurance deductible. Hate what it did to Galveston.
We had a huge windstorm couple of weeks ago - 80 mph winds, right out of the north. Blew one of my neighbor’s 30 foot tall pine trees over almost to the ground. Lasted only about 20 minutes but trees down in the back yard and rain came in around a couple of windows that Ike didn’t affect.
