Civility in America is only skin deep now days. One wrong look or word, one small thing they’re told they can’t have, one line too long (to wait).... people feel so entitled, everything should be there when they want it and they shouldn’t have to wait for it or pay too much. Yelling and screaming and making a big scene is what gets you what you want, not being polite and calm and CIVILIZED!

Root cause is the “self-esteem” push.
When you've been told you are special your entire life, and have done nothing to earn it, your self-esteem is large and fragile and you are entitled to anything you want, whenever you want.
One small perceived snub and all heck breaks loose, from breaking a McD’s window to shooting someone, it all come down to being ‘dissed.”
Self-Respect is important.
You earn self-respect and know your true value and from there you develop strong character, a character that is not easily bruised.
Self-esteem without self-respect is a sham. Jails of full of thugs with all sorts of self-esteem.
