When you lose your iPhone; you log into iCloud.com and you are faced with information and serveral options.

You can “see” where it is on the map, you can have it play a tune (so you can hear it and find it - yes, even if the mute is turned on and volume is turned off). You can “lock it” so no one else can use it; and you can remotely wipe it.

In 2 weeks, iOS 7 will effectively “brick” the phone - so if someone steals it and wipes it; it’s still useless until the original owner “releases” it.

The Find My IPhone app can be used on your iPhone, iPad or even on your PC [or Mac].

So you can find your lost iPhone with any computer.

My desktop mac might be a Bit Burdensome ..as per hauling it around to find my lost iphone.../s

I dint know why not,

I didnt read all the specifications..and capabilities but with any sort of range it should work.

My bet is that within the first few “iterations” versions....it would be possible.

Keep us posted as to any possible results.
