After Ramaine Hill was shot a few years ago near Chicago's old Cabrini-Green public housing complex where he grew up, he knew he had to watch his back, according to his family.
Because he led police to the suspected gunman, Hill was threatened by the shooter's friends, his family said.
"He started getting real distant" after he was shot, his sister, Rakeisha Hill, 23, recalled Monday afternoon. "Usually he'll talk some. But he just stopped talking, period."

It is the available number of criminals in Chicago, not guns, that drive crime rates.

I always thought it shameful that the good name of Mother Cabrini was associated with such a hell hole as Cabrini-Green.
