Who Said It, Adolf Hitler or Taylor Swift?

Can you tell the difference between a quote from one of history's most infamous revenge-seeking megalomaniacs and Adolf Hitler? Plenty of people couldn't. This "Hitler or Taylor" joke started with a Pinterest user named Emily Pattinson, who juxtaposed pretty images of Taylor Swift with quotes from the "real Taylor Swift." The results are inspirational messages like this:

The problem is ... those aren't Swift's quotes. The quotes Pattinson was using actually belong to the likes of Hitler, Osama bin Laden, and Joseph Stalin — and no one noticed. Pattinson's most popular post, as Buzzfeed points out, has 277 "repins."

7/10 here. Some of them are pretty obvious. You could do this with many public figures equally successfully I would guess. Why with Miss Swift? Did she take the originator’s boyfriend?

Swift gets a lot of flak from the socialist media because she has what us older folks would call “a good reputation” which leads to her short romances.

That might have been true three years ago or so.

By now, she pretty much has a "bad reputation", and that accounts for her short romances.

First she was singing about school girl stuff, crushes and such.

Then she was the innocent who got hurt by boys.

After a while, you might have started to suspect that she liked getting hurt romantically.

A little while further down the road, you might start to think she liked to do the hurting.

Comparing Taylor Swift to Hitler is certainly cruel. It's a joke and over the top, but it's a funny one and expresses some of the exasperation many feel with her life and work.

It’s my guess that she is so self-involved that she is difficult to be around for long.

I was 9/10 with the same thing wrong. I guess I thought the martial imagery might have been Hitler.

Same here...maybe we can get Taylor Swift to wear a SS uniform.
