Old America is gone
blueyandcurlys blog ^ | 2/20/2013 | Rabbi Steven Pruzansky

...snip... The takers outnumber the givers, and that will only increase in years to come. The “Occupy” riots across this country in the last two years were mere dress rehearsals for what lies ahead – years of unrest sparked by the increasing discontent of the unsuccessful who want to seize the fruits and the bounty of the successful, and do not appreciate the slow pace of redistribution. If this election proves one thing, it is that the Old America is gone. And, sad for the world, it is not coming back.

Things look bleak for the US. Interesting read.

I didn't want to see this headline ... expected it ... but didn't want to see it.

Saying the words is painful.

We certainly are circling the drain, and are in a world of hurt, but I’m not ready to give up on America and her promise yet.

Obama has done everything in his power to see it to it that we are not an exceptional nation anymore.

Carry at all times. Buy it when you can afford it and find it. Stay vigilant.

Couldn’t agree more. Very painful. I made a post the other day, echoed with some others, that America is just gone. VERY painful to write it but not facing the truth is worse.

America is dead and gone. It isn’t coming back. And realizing that is one of the few things that makes me glad I’m old.

Good men will acknowledge that America is in decline and there’s no going back.

The former “America” is now nothing more than a land mass populated by moochers, cretins, ingrates, and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors so that it may be “redistributed” to them in exchange for their votes. It is not an America worth defending anymore. That America no longer exists.

The Democrats have won.

Good men will hunker down, stay under the radar, protect their families, and hide and protect whatever they can from the government and its enabling parasitic hordes. Good men will rise above the disgrace that surrounds them and live their lives productively for the benefit of their families and their children. Good men will continue to love and laugh and have some fun.

Thanks for the find and post. The Rabbi has it nailed, however the demise of The Republic started long before 2007.

It is heart breaking to be a first hand witness to what is happening.

We saw this over 50 years ago and made the decision to not have childern so they wouldn’t have to live through it.

We have gone the way of Rome and there is no way back.

Unfortunately, this is the gospel truth. Only a heavenly miracle will erase this.

If you think by working, saving and amassing equity in all sorts of things will stop this or lessen the blow, it won’t.
In any mass breakdown scenario, you only need to remember any one of a hundred Zombie movies and translate that into Zombies = entitlement masses. Just yesterday, there was news of some country in Europe that whacked away half of everyones’ personal retirement accounts - that is going to happen here, only more aggressively. We don’t live in the 21st century; we live in a world that yearns to regress to the dark ages of murderous religious dogma and tyrannical rule. It just hasn’t fully gotten here yet.

All that you have worthwhile will be taken away from you. You may get by with your life, but that story goes the same way as any slave story.

The only thing you can give your heirs are weapons, ammo and the knowledge to use them.

It sounds real bad, don’t it....get ready for it.

I’m just so glad that my grandparents, uncles, aunts, and the like, never lived long enough to see the sickening devolution of the country they fought for, strived for, and contributed to. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t think about this. Whether it’s the corrupt, one-party statism, or the sheer deviant putridness of American culture, it’s indeed difficult to look back at what America once was and what it has become, without truly wanting to vomit.

Open-border lawlessness, leaders that wants to arm Christian-killing terrorists, over half the population dependent on government, dope-addled scum, fag-marriage, and a pop-culture that worships perversion. America has become a nightmarish cesspool that spits on everything that it once regarded with value.

I would blame FDR and the changes he made - what sort of moron has a plan for the workers of today to fund retirement. An evil plan-short sighted plan, pure and simple. The greatest generation bread the baby-boomers - a generation of whiny narcissistic arrogant power-hungry control freaks that now believe they know what’s best for everyone - they are the hippie generation who were duped into protesting for evil and are now the lawmakers. And their generation bread the worst “me first” generation ever - growing up thinking its racist, mean and undignified to teach a man to fish, just give him the fish.
Our government is corrupt. You can’t throw a stone without hitting the “quid pro quo” attitude of those in power. And instead of fighting for what is right, most join so they cal look out for number one.
It will take many years and generations to undo the damage done to this country in the last 40 years. I think we can do it, but be prepared that things will get much, much worse before they get better.

I had stated,”We certainly are circling the drain, and are in a world of hurt, but I’m not ready to give up on America and her promise yet.”

rktman stated: “Carry at all times. Buy it when you can afford it and find it. Stay vigilant.”

That is excellent advice, rktman.

This morning, however, when I woke up, I had the clear thought that we will win America back once a requisite remnant has gone before the altar to repent and seek after the saving by the Lord of His gift of America to us. When we have the spiritual fire, then the physical preps serve to show the Lord our willingness to be obedient, and they are laid on the altar AS a point of obedience and without fear of outcome.

So often in many areas of my life I have learned that if I am obedient and obtain that spiritual “insurance” along with the requisite physical ability to take whatever action is required if things were to go sideways from what I planned before the Lord, then so often that area of my life is turned around and the prep for the worst case scenario turns out not to be required for execution.

I will not say the physical element of the prep was unnecessary. In my view, the physical prep was PART of the spiritual requirement to show my humble obedience and willingness to comply to what I have perceived in a particular case as His will. So being prepared first spiritually, then also physically as the particle we lay on the altar to show our earnestness, we then have the sure protection, grace, and intercession of the Lord.

My father was born in 1908 and here is the Old America as it was:

IN HIS OWN WORDS.... I found a couple of cassette tapes made in 1977 of Pop talking about the early years and was able to convert parts of them over to the MP3 format. The quality is not very good, but the five sound clips sure are interesting to me. I am asking Pop questions and Mom and Mary Ann are talking in the background. You can click on the links to listen. Each clip is about 5 minutes long. This is when a handshake was a contract and honesty prevailed.

Actually the Occupy movement seems to have proven that today’s yutes are too lazy, unmotivated, self-centered and unfocused to get any sort of a real protest movement going.

Yes...in the old days we were quite ignorant, and it didn’t take a whole lot to keep the truth from us. Now...”they” no longer need to cloud ounr eyes, things are pretty much in the open...for those who ca see and hear...and things are in the hands of the closer...
