The American thought the animal was a stray but discovered its collar the next morning

A drunkard is searching for a cat's owners after 'accidentally stealing' it after a boozy night out.

The unnamed man has placed an advert on Craiglist in a desperate attempt to find the pet's owner .

The American said he picked the animal up while walking home from a night out, thinking it was a stray .

But when he woke up the following morning, he discovered the cat’s collar with its name written across it.

Under the title ‘Possibly stole someone’s cat when I was drunk last night (Chico)’, he wrote:

‘If anyone is missing a cat name Django (pronounced Jango the D is silent) I stole him last night. Not on purpose, I was extremely intoxicated and thought he was just some random stray I was rescuing.

‘It was not until this morning when I was haphazardly going for a glass of water that I remembered I took the cat and noticed that he a collar.’

He added: ‘If Django belongs to you I would like to give him back… And sorry for stealing him.’

The man also described it as ‘a very frisky black cat [with] very sleepy eyes’.

A cat isn’t an “it”,....some kind of sexless,inanimate object,...a cat is either a “he” or a “she”.

in my eyes, YOU are an IT until your sex has been determined......and for what it's worth, I really don't care.

I suspect that's exactly what the cat thinks about its human slaves.
