Should we boycott a vintner for making flagrantly racist statements?

Putting less money in a racist's pocket is entirely appropriate. I'd rather download a bootleg of a Morgan Freeman movie than have him receive any royalties for it.

And while I might theoretically pay to see a Morgan Freeman movie, I'm certainly less likely to do so given that I'm aware of Freeman's knee-jerk racist views.

The same holds true for this winemaker, and I'd be happy to make my cabernet sauvignon wine selections from that subset of wine makers which is not overtly racist, as, I am sure, most people who love Freedom would do.

Racists of any stripe are rarely friends of Freedom. Indeed, they are almost invariably a threat to it...

To put Paula Dean and this guy in the same category is offensive.

It is horrible what they did to Paula Dean and we and my inlaws have refused to watch the Food Network since they dropped her. Completely unfair. So maybe we are okay with boycotts.

On the other hand, this guy is an idiot and might be a true racist if he actually said this. He should explain himself.

we can call people savages, or beasts, or animals, or even scum, or filth...

but we can’t call them gorillas?

They call us crackas, honkies, white-ass whatevers, white boy, caspers, white bread, whitey, and everyone in the media and police can’t seem to somehow come to grips with these things being expressions of racist statements...

There’s no conviction because Polanski pled guilty, then jumped bail before sentencing.

He went into open court and admitted giving a 13 year old girl Quaaludes to relax her so he could sodomize her anus.

He is vermin and filth, and should spend the rest of his life behind bars.
