We have rolls of paper towels in the kitchen cupboard on the top shelf. Tall person puts them there, then goes away, so when I need a new roll I spear it with the yardstick through the tube.

Yardsticks also help adjust curtains when you don’t want to tug on them or climb the ladder.

Yardsticks can give you that exalted feeling of being a tool user, in places where a whip or a gun just aren’t appropriate.

Don’t blame me. I saw where society was going a month ago regarding this show and decided to join in. It really is a work of art.

I would not have sampled it if it wasn’t for the public buzz about it.

I would not have watched more than an episode or two if it was not brilliant.

Sometimes, sometimes, the crowd is on to something.

I have used mine to measure lots of things. But it is used more often to get things out from under bigger things. We got ours from the county fair.

But is it an all-American yardstick or one of those Communist meter sticks? ;-)

I have several tape measures for measuring things.

Actually, we have several and they are American yardsticks, although one is 48" long so it's just a long stick.
I am watching BB from the beginning and still don't like it very much but I'm making the effort to see why my kids like it. I've never watched a show where I can't root for a single character.

I’m not going to pretend I remember anything from 9th grade English class.

But it’s definitely tragic, in the traditional sense.

I don’t know how far along you are, but in the early days I think you’re supposed to appreciate Walter for how quick-thinking he is. And his sad lot in life is supposed to make him sympathetic, too.

He applies a little of his chemistry teaching to real life, has his former student sell the stuff. Make a little nest egg for the family. How complicated could it be?

Well for what it’s worth, the Bears will be rolling into town Sunday night, fresh of two come from behind 4th-quarter victories. They were fun, for sure - but good freakin’ luck trying to pull that crap off at Heinz Field. Plus, the Bears defensive line is producing zero pressure - Big Ben will have plenty of time to make stuff happen. I know the Steelers season may not look too bright, but at least this weekend need not look too dark.

you and the crowd are welcome to it, you know i have an aversion to watching tv. I literally haven’t had it ON at all for weeks. we did watch a tiny bit of the Steelers game. Will watch more tv with hockey getting ready to start. honestly i don’t know why, but i just cannot stand watching tv.
