The robbery took place at the Broadway Electronics in Bushwick, with the thieves stealing $4,400 in tablets, computers and other gadgets — and cellphones from customers who were shopping in the store.
What bozos.
Police are hunting for three men who disguised themselves as clowns to steal more than $4,000 and electronics from a Brooklyn store. Cops said the men were wearing clown masks and wielding pistols when they barreled into Broadway Electronics in Bushwick about 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The buffoons grabbed phones and computers out of a display case and demanded the cash in the registers, cops said.
One of them got an employee to open the safe and scooped up $4,400, a police source said.
The men also made off with electronics that included four Android tablets, one iPad 4, one iPad Mini, and two Samsung Galaxy S4 and two Galaxy 2 cell phones.
Before taking off, the jokers forced two customers to give up their personal cell phones, a Blackberry Torch and a Metro PCS, a police source said.
An employee of the Everything .99 Cent Plus store next to the electronics shop said the robbery is one in a string of incidents at the business.
"It's crazy,” Younis Aziz, 21, said. “That store has been robbed four or five times over the years."
He said the store was robbed two weeks ago by three or four guys who didn’t cover their faces.
Police said the shop’s owner and nearby businesses didn’t have working surveillance cameras. The shop was closed “for renovation” Tuesday, according to a sign outside.
Reached by cell phone, the shop’s owner said he was flumoxed by the bizarre robbery.
“It’s a shocking thing,” said owner Mohammad Butts. “There were three guys with guns dressed as clowns. They even took stuff from the customers.”
He said he didn’t have time to answer further questions.
This is merely the latest sighting of Clown Prince nobama’s czars.
And you all thought that all the clowns are sitting at their keyboards posting gibberish on Internet forums such as this one!
To be honest, when I first read the thread title I assumed that it was a trio of New York Congressmen that robbed this store.
Because the LSM/DBM must protect the image of Dear Leader.
