That is strange, I never got any ads from Mozilla Firefox.
Of course I use Ubuntu Linux.
I keep trying to load Linux and so far have been unsuccessful on three computers and on clean formatted discs as well as to virtual machines, etc. I get it started, either from online or a disc and at some point it always just stops and refuses to go any further. If my son were closer than Germany, I could probably get it okay. I really would like to put Windows in the past. I do not have a natural bent for computers.
