Question: Weren't the VAST majority of Navy shooting victims WHITE?

Earlier this morning I saw a gun-control propaganda report masquerading as news....the Obama worshiper, masquerading as a journalist, talked about the victims of the murderous liberal Aaron Alexis.

I noticed that MOST of the victims were white.

Could we have some racism here? I mean, this black man shot UNARMED white people....

He definitely had a racial chip on his shoulder, according to reports.

I think the voices in his head urging him to kill administrators at the Naval Yard trumped that "racial chip" on this shoulder....

I suspect one person was hit by accident.

Well considering it was 800 or so on a WORKDAY and the guy was (supposedly) shooting into a crowd of WORKING PEOPLE with most needing some sort of Security Clearance etc etc etc.

Of course we still have to give ‘them’ time to sort this out and figure if it was 1 or 2 or 3 or 40(s/) shooters and whether we should blame the Sequester, or someone didn’t want the Nats to play ball Mon Evening.
I still have trouble with believing the guy walked into a Gun Store/range in the last couple of days as a DC or TX resident and walked out the same day with a purchase.

I realize my last name is ‘fairly’ common but even as a long time CCP holder, and the purchaser of several pistols, I have yet been able to stand at the counter and be able to ‘wait’ for clearance. Always have had to - at the very least - wait a day or so.
I have absolutely NO record - with exception of traffic - so maybe that is why it ‘takes longer’????

Maybe it is ‘easier’ to buy a shotgun rather than a pistol.

I tend to agree with you based on what is coming out so far
The guy called police last month to report voices in his head and said he was being stalked by 3 black people. and they blew it off

Supposedly he sought treatment from the VA
He knew he was sick, he apparently aggrandized his role in to 9-11 as an excuse, but it may have been a trigger when he was much younger. Schizophrenia often starts in the 20’s
He was well enough to be able to enlist in the Navy and then get work as a contractor, both where PC affirmative action excused a lot of his malfunctions in the interest of diversity hiring

He was "angry" but probably really didn't know or rationalize at who or what

His prior shootings were not “accidents” but signs his illness was growing and it consumed him

He must have been a highly intelligent guy to have lasted so long and then pulled this off

Mental illness especially untreated is a bad sad destroyer

the dead black man was shot in the back while trying to get away and standing at an elevator pushing the button according to a man who was with him, It was intentional

note to self: in hallway shootings, take the stairs

Possibly shot because he recognized the shooter.

The type of work conducted at the Navy Yard probably yields a disproportionately white work force for the DC area.

If he was using 00buck, you gotta figger even a 2 3/4 inch shell holds 9 shot. Some collateral damage was almost inevitable.

As I saw on another4 thread this morning:
What do we know about the shooter?

1. Told a government agency that he was hearing voices in his head and the gov did nothing.
2. He was a democrat according to his closest friend.
3. Didn’t use an assault rifle or pistol with hi cap mag.
4. Used a Joe Biden-approved pump shotgun and not a semi auto.
5. Was an angry black man.
6. 10 of 12 victims were innocent whites.
7. The FBI approved the sale of the shotgun to him.
8. Did his killing in a gun-free zone where the victims obeyed the law and did not bring means to defend themselves.
9. Ignored existing gun laws.
10. Disappointed liberals all over the country by failing to carry forward the liberal agenda.

“He’s dead, so yeah, Holder probably won’t prosecute him for anything.”

Guess I walked right into that, lol! Nice shot :)

Always have had to - at the very least - wait a day or so.

The only background checks I underwent, were accomplished in less than an hour. I was at a gun show in each case, which should make it take longer, because there are more people buying guns on weekends. Now I have a CHL, and some of those exempt you from having to undergo the "instant" check. My state's does. I suspect it's your state check that's at issue. Somewhat before the Brady Law was passed, my father in law bought a pistol at a gun show in Nebraska. Nebraska required a firearm owners permit for purchase of pistols. They were issued by county sheriffs. The gun show was 20-30 miles from the county seat. The sheriff had deputies at the show, calling back to the Sheriff's office for the check, which I think was just the standard "wants and warrants" check, and the deputies issued the permits on the spot.

You, are right. If the races were all reversed, the media would be focusing on race. It is a dangerous hypocrisy.

= = = = = = = = = = = =
I am in VA and - at least from MY observations - having a Carry Permit has no bearing - or at least the clerk in a shop wasn’t all that ‘impressed’. Supposedly the State Police run the checks and each time I have been told ‘they must be busy’ and I have NEVER just ‘walked’ out with one. The last time I was trading one in for a new one and they took mine to ‘check it out’ and after being told a day or so, I asked for the piece I walked in with and was told - It is already in the system as NOT yours, so we would have to start from scratch.
As stated before, I have no record of mental issues (well officially anyway, being able to copy Morse and volunteering for Subs doesn’t exactly make me sane (in the eyes of others), no domestic calls or disturbances, no criminal activity but when I ‘Google’ myself there are several people I share a ‘complete’ name with so maybe there is a ‘character’ there and each time I have to be excluded???

So when these idjits like Bloomberg and the rest of the gun grabbers say you can just ‘walk into a shop’ in VA and walk out with WHATEVER you desire, I say ‘poppycock’, like I say, I am a Vet, taxpayer, (was)property owner etc and still get a little grief.....
