ALL OUTDOOR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS BANNED (Germany)

Don’t expect to see Christmas lights, Christmas trees, or other Christmas decorations in one part of Berlin, Germany, even on private property, after officials in the Kreuzberg district banned the display of anything that celebrates the Christian holiday – because someone might be offended.

“Why should religious festivals be celebrated in public?” asked Socialist Party Councilor Martin Becker.

The censorship was supported by the left-wing councilman as a response to demands by Muslims in the district that they be allowed to celebrate the end of Ramadan in the streets. Due to a fear of noise complaints, council officials decided that the best solution was to ban all religious festivals from being publicly celebrated in the district.

The ban includes decorations on private property if they could be seen by the public, according to reports. And the only exception reportedly will be a location the government would designate for a Christmas tree.

But other controversial events will still be allowed to take place in the area. According to an interview Becker gave to a local Berlin news outlet, “gay” and lesbian festivals will still be permitted to take place in Kreuzberg.

The measure also took away honorary awards for citizens based upon religious merit, as left-wing councilors saw no religious service as worthy of consideration.

I was once visiting in Bavaria during the Christmas season, and I have never seen such beautiful decorations as I saw there. Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful decorations, and crunching through the snow to walk around and look at them is one of my fondest memories.

Didn’t Obama make an appearance at Berlin?

Just sayin’.

When I lived in Berlin, Kreuzberg was full of Muslims, freaks and left-wingers. I would be VERY surprised to see this spread to other parts of Berlin or Germany as a whole.

They are going to have to change the name of the city so it doesn’t offend them since ‘kreuz’ means ‘cross’ in German.

i would call upon all germans to ignore this law. and fight all lawsuits. have churches help fund defenses of the lawsuits. get freaking organized and start dealing with this and fight for your right to be christians. it is also cultural heritage here. hundreds to over a thousand years andmore of heritage. preserving cultural identity.

I was in Regensburg one Christmas and it was beautiful - an old medieval town decorated in lights with a choir singing in the market square. It was enchanting.

Liberals will have us all wearing black burkas and using candlelight once they are done.

"As an aside, the spirit of antichrist is already at work in the world."

"Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?"

They're right. While we're at it, why should anybody have different clothes? Let's all join the movement and wear drab, lifeless suits. That way, nobody will have any more than anybody else. It'll be Nirvana.

I think you have hit upon it. When cultural uniformity is in effect the result discourages creativity. Creativity is the engine of human adaptivity. The Christmas season is a huge springboard for artistic creativity. The child creating snowflakes out of folded paper is a simple example of creative energy being inspired by the magic of Christmas. This creative activity transmits itself throughout society until someone is cutting out a heart valve using a 3-D printer. To cut out the celebration of Christmas, cuts out the heart of a culture’s creative celebration.

Have the Mussies come up with any technological innovations lately? To them, Allah as interpreted by Mohammed, is more important than the creative power of humanity. It is that creative power that God put into each person for their happiness. For that reason, it is time that Islam put itself through their own reformation to examine the spiritual order between man and God. Mohammed’s interpretation It is time to put the message of Mohammed under a microscope. It just is not working for them and it is sticking out like a sore thumb when they clash with other cultures.

From Wiki:

“The borough is known for its very large percentage of immigrants and second-generation immigrants, many of whom are of Turkish ancestry. As of 2006, 31.6% of Kreuzberg’s inhabitants did not have German citizenship. While Kreuzberg thrives on its diverse culture and is still an attractive area for many, the district is also characterized by high levels of unemployment and some of the lowest average incomes in Berlin.”

“Kreuzberg has long been the epicenter of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Queer life and Arts in Berlin. Kreuzberg is home to the Schwules Museum which was established in the late 1980s. The museum is dedicated to preserving, exhibiting, and discovering LGBTQ history, art and culture.”

It would be much better for all society to outlaw being offended!

Without exception I tell just how worthless or evil a person is by observing how easily they are offended.

They have overplayed the Offended card as much has the race hustlers overplayed the race card.

I have no clue about German law but what LAW in the USA bans offending someone? Unless you are causing direct harm to the weak offended pussies maybe they had better STFU!
