You want stats? We have stats.

According to Jamie Kennedy Tiger Woods has played 1,112 career PGA Tour rounds and Thursday's at the Tour Championship was just his eighth without a birdie.

You want more stats? We have more stats.

Woods was the only golfer in the field at East Lake on Thursday without a birdie.

You want one final stat? We have one final stat.

According to Justin Ray of ESPN this is the first time Woods has gone without a birdie since the first round of the 2010 US Open.

Are you starting to get the idea that it was not a good day for Tiger Woods on Thursday at the Tour Championship? Because it wasn't.

Here's a look at a Woods scorecard nobody has seen in quite a while:

The good news for Woods is that there are only 27 golfers between him at 3 over and Henrik Stenson at 6 under. The bad news is that he's in second to last and nine shots is a lot to make up, especially with the way Stenson is playing.

Woods had the best seat in the house to watch Stenson's 6-under 64 as he played with him for the first day. Tiger will play with Jason Dufner (who's in last place) on Friday.

Woods declined to speak to the media after his round on Thursday -- and who wouldn't with the way he putted? That led to this exchange on Twitter which made me laugh quite a bit:

Twitter post at link.

Tiger's putter was ice all day, too. The field average for putts per hole was 1.76 and Woods finished just over two.

He'll have to swing the pendulum back in the next three days which certainly won't be easy. In Woods' last two trips to East Lake he's been 2 over and 3 under in his last three rounds. Neither (obviously) will get it done this year.

There's precedent though. In 2007, when Woods won this tournament and the FedEx Cup, he was 17 under in his last three rounds and went on to win by eight strokes.

It won't take that much this year, but with Stenson already at 6 under and Adam Scott at 5 under and gunning for the player of the year award, it might take something close.

Geeeee, girlfriend Lindsey isn’t there! Is that the problem! She has better things to do, she’s in Portillo training for a return to World Cup ski racing.

I sure have no sympathy for him whether that’s the reason or not.

He lost his mojo.

He sure has.

He just finished the second round and he caught up with Dufner, they're now tied for 29th at 4 over.

The original Magic Negro - I sort of a have a theory that Hussein subliminally benefited from Woods’ success. Now the bloom has come off of both roses.

After 2nd round, he’s +4 and tied for dead last.

Since the PGA began testing for PEDs after Tiger won USOpen at Torrey Pines, he has not won another major....and definitely his body is not as bulky.

You may well be right about Tiger helping elect The Won, I know you’re right about the roses.
