The Los Angeles Dodgers' celebratory dip in the Arizona Diamondbacks' pool after clinching the NL West on Thursday isn't just the talk of the baseball world. It's got even one of the country's most famous politicians fuming.
John McCain the Arizona senator and 2008 presidential candidate blasted the Dodgers on Friday via Twitter, saying much the same thing that many Diamondbacks fans were saying Thursday. Although, "spoiled brats" is particularly delicious....

instead of scolding a bunch of happy clinching Dodgers from frolicking in the D-backs pool.
Looks like he’s still making friends and influencing people—LOL!
Somebody needs to tell his to STFU!
They are just pissed because that pool is full of Diamondbacks Babes.
Always thought McStain took one too many fastballs to the noggin.
Sounds like he’s describing himself.
Over paid is funny too.
John McCains Net Worth: $40.4 million
McLame, that's no way to talk about your daughter
you left one out Juan......WINNERS!....a$$hole
most pro sports are full of spoilt brats so I agree with loony tunes , however there are more important issues to deal with right now and this is not one of them
“Senator John McCain calls the Dodgers overpaid, immature, arrogant, spoiled brats....”
Now THAT’S what I call projection.
I know his buddy the _resident took too many balls to the face....
I’ll bet the water felt pretty good.
That made me snort.
If you’re gonna have a pool in your stadium, the boys will play in it. Just sayin’
Short of graft, pay-offs, back room deals, etc., just how does someone like him come to be worth so much? Enquiring minds need that answered.
And we all know how rational is John McCain....
Ah! The famous McCain temper shows its ugly face again.
If only he could channel that temper for those he should be opposing rather than at the Dodgers or Rand, Cruz and the Tea Party.
Maybe he really meant the Diamondback front office is made up of immature jerks:
L.A. Dodgers fans forced to wear Arizona Diamondbacks colors in box behind home plate
Takes one to know one.
WOW! sounds like a Seinfeld episode.
But still mere amateurs as compared to the US Senate.
Sheesh...go back to online poker, Luke Skywalker. Better yet, RESIGN.
Like John effin Kerry, he MARRIED it. His wife owns the largest Budweiser beer distributership in Arizona...which she inherited.
It’s nice to know the nation’s lack of serious problems allows U. S. Senators the time to involve themselves in local controversies.
At least their playing in the pool won’t destroy our once great Country.
Pray for America to Wake Up
Geez, McQueeg. Is there nothing you won’t comment on??
You have a terminal case of diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain!!
Isn’t that more like HIS WIFE’s net worth?
The Dodger players have earned their paychecks.
John McCain has not.
It's their policy that fans sitting in those high visibility seats are not to wear the opposing team's colors or paraphernalia. If you don't like the rule, don't buy the tickets, or better yet, build your own stadium.
I thought he was talking about the senate
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
They did what was expected of them for that money and fame. McCain has done nothing but spit in the faces of those who supported him.
I say it is drug resistant syphilis....gone to the brain. /snark
Someone said in a thread back when Paul Ryan first traitored us on immigration to never trust anyone who married his money. He’ll sell out for services rendered, every time.
You broke my irony meter.
Disclosure: I was a Dodger fan for more than 30 years until Arizona got a team. Here is my opinion.
Yeah, it was boorish, but maybe they got caught up in the moment. They’ve had a good year and it’s been a while for them.
“overpaid, immature, arrogant, spoiled brats” describes most professional athletes.
I love Chase Field but the swimming pool is a bit odd.
Ole John boy got his start with Charles Keating and the Keating 5 scandal.
Yikes, I need to amend #41. They are NOT overpaid. They are paid what they are worth in the marketplace.
I liked the name “The Bob” better. At least the pool doesn’t have sting rays like Tampa.
The jackasses in Arizona had the gall to ask the Dodgers not to celebrate at all on the field when they won. Is that stadium policy too?
If I were on the Dodgers, I would have done what they did...stick it right back in the Douchebacks faces!
Headline should be:
John McCain describes similarities between himself, many congress critters, and the Dodgers as overpaid, immature, arrogant, spoiled brats.
He should know-it takes one to know one.LOL
"Bob" was a great name.
I've been in a few stadiums, none of them the old historical ones. I've been to Dodger Stadium probably 50 times, Angel (or whatever they call it now) Stadium a dozen times, Jack Murphy stadium, and a few others, and I love Chase Field the best. It's air conditioned, the seats are close to the action, and the variety of food is amazing. It's like a mall food court with a field in the middle.
Nothing like watching a game in shaded, air conditioned comfort while eating a grilled Italian sausage sandwich and sipping on a vodka with a twist.
Wish he cared as much about the Republican Party as he does about the Diamondbacks.
