In my opinion, last nights episode opened up what Walt is going to do in the finale of the series. He knows he going to die very soon and he showed the only thing on his mind is his wife and family.

He sees the only option left is a deal with the fed's, in that regard, he's holding a lot cards in his favor to save them, after all, the meth operation has international implications and would be a gold mine for them.

With his information, he can shut down the whole operation, get the revenge he wants for Hanks death and the resulting destruction of his family.

He can demand just about anything and they will hand it to him because it will also solve the huge problem with meth addiction in Europe.

The only problem I had with last nights episode was the conversation he had with the man who 'disappeared' him.

Let's face it, he is also a criminal and when Walt asked him if when he (Walt) died would he see that his wife and family would get that barrel of money.

The guy has hauled a dying man out to the wilderness with a barrel containing eleven million dollars in cash AND he is giving him medicine and supplies to keep him alive?

He has to be the most benevolent and compassionate criminal on the face of the earth.

Other than that, it was a good episode even thought he writers went a little out in left field.

What predictions did YOU get from the show?

Uh, I'm not asking for opinions of my prediction, hell I'm probably just as crazy as the writers but they are welcomed too.

A spoiler alert in the thread title might be helpful for those still not up to speed.

Did you see the first episode of this season? It was a flashforward where Walt goes back to his house and gets something out of an electrical faceplate. Maybe a key or something to a safe deposit box.

A flash forward in a previous episode showed Walter White retrieving the hidden vial of ricin from his former home. That leads me to believe he isn’t going to make a deal with the Feds.

The Ricin is going to be served up to the two people he saw on the television in the bar.

Yeah, the first thing I’d do when contemplating a deal with the Feds is buy an M60.

THis is my prediction from a week ago:

Here is my vote for the ending ...

Walt returns to Albuquerque to shoot the people at Gray Matter

>>>>>>>>
So this week we get Gray Matter on Charlie Rose.

While anything could happen ...Remember he has guns and ricin....I don’t think it will be nice/Also Walt got shafted by Gray Matter and if he can get them to come across with what he is owed it can legitimately go to his family...

Finally
I think the cancer wins

ALL television series, from x-files to breaking bad to 24 to outcasts - are built on a liberal agitprop plank, or they’re very shortlived.

Watch what you watch.

A little vial. Appeared to be the ricin vial.

My take was that he had given up at the end of the episode after speaking with Walt Jr. I thought he planned to sit there with his drink, waiting for the feds to come — until he saw his former colleagues on TV. That reignited Heisenberg.

Random Q: Does anyone remember — was Dimple Pinch Mike’s brand of scotch?

This whole time I’ve been thinking the ricin was for himself. Could it be for Elliott and/or Gretchen Schwartz? Never would have guessed that... and I still don’t think that’s likely. But I feel like almost anything could happen at this point. I really doubt Vince Gilligan made the finale predictable.

I’m so excited for next week, and yet I don’t want Sunday to come because I don’t want it to end. I don’t know how any TV show will ever top this.

There was also a scene earlier in the series which showed him hiding the vial behind that faceplate, so it’s definitely the ricin.

Good point, I missed that connection.

giving him medicine and supplies to keep him alive? He has to be the most benevolent and compassionate criminal on the face of the earth.

He's not giving him anything. He said he was doing the supply trips for $50,000 a pop.

When a desperate Walt offered him $10,000 to keep him company for two hours, he confirmed the amount and haggled him down to a single hour.

He's not benevolent or compassionate in the least. He's a guy who makes his living as an expert at getting people successfully into hiding. If he starts killing his clients to steal their money, he'll kill his business too.

He seems a decent character, but not overly kind.

He was also the main male character (the bail bondsman) in Tarrantino's "Jackie Brown."

Poetically just ending would be Walt fatally shot in the lung by just about anyone.

At the beginning of the series we learned that Walt was cheated out of a fortune by Gray Matter. Now at the end, I think Walt blames them for the bad choices he felt compelled to make to take care of his family due to his life threatening cancer. I predict he will make them pay.

Not sure what will happen to Jesse and Todd. There only seems to be one way out for Jesse and that is a dirt nap. However they seem to be dragging it out too long for something so simple. Can’t wait to find out.
