Ax, I’m a retired fed too. Don’t worry — OPM already said fed retiree pensions won’t be affected. I’m not worried.

” GET MAD and get loud!”

Who are you going to get mad at? The government who has spent itself into oblivion, or the poor taxpaying SOB who doesn’t have enough money to pay for his own health insurance, least of all someone elses?

If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, Obamacare promises that the cost will rise as soon as the “temporary delay” is ended (i.e. when the Democrats think they can get away with it without too much electoral pain).

Earlier this week I received a nice letter from the Veterans Administration informing me that as a vet I was entitled to healthcare ay my local VA hospital. My insurance qualification for the 2013 Affordable Care Act had therefore been met and no further action was required.

I must add that I have frequented VA in the past and am grateful to have that benefit. It was not free, but earned IMHO :^)

Or the useful idiot embed down at the SMV ...

They know not what they do and are incapable of receiving any information that would help them formulate more mature thoughts.

Same thing here. My 92 year old mother has had the same doctor for 30 years, until March of this year. She doesn’t trust the new one, as the doc didn’t even do blood work the last time I took her. I wouldn’t be surprised if they stop treating her at 93.

Most feds are Democrats, especially the ones in the government unions. And they voted in lock step for this clown.

They thought they were taken care of. They never thought their health plans would be vulnerable. I wonder what they’re thinking today?

Medical Concierge‎ coming to your area soon. ‎

Good. It keeps the good docs practicing - for now. I'm not on Medicare, but have been looking into the concierge doctors.

With Medicare reimbursements getting lower and lower, it may be the only way docs can continue to see such patients.

Medicare is not supposed to immediately change. Medicare is already single payer.

What will change is that physician reimbursement and coverage will be cut, perhaps dramatically, once Obamacare is implemented. Obamacare finance depends on serious cuts in Medicare/Medicaid spending on the elderly. So, it will likely become more difficult to find physicians who will accept Medicare.

But I’m not depressed. I have a great job, I just expanded my 12 acre farm in central KY to 32 acres, picking up lots of woods and two streams. I’m playing in my church band now.

I’m no more depressed than Paul was when he said “for me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

What I am saying is depressing to those that have only this world. To those who understand I’m not saying anything new. They know I am merely articulating the human condition without Christ.

My favorite OT book is ecclesiastes. I only read it from cover to cover when I do. It is greater wisdom than Proverbs and when followed by the even greater wisdom of the Gospels, it is very good news - and explains a lot about life.

Yes, I did take that government job nine months after I was discharged. I was able to use the skills I acquired in the USAF. While working in the government, I served with the military in places like Vietnam, Persia and Saudi Arabia and other garden spots. I earned it.

I am sick an exhausted an trying to pull things together to get to the office

by the way, I work late into the night and weekends because I have to be available during the day for calls, appointments and appearances
