With just five days to go before Americans can begin signing up for health care under his signature law, President Barack Obama on Thursday ridiculed Republican opponents for crazy doomsday predictions of the impact and forecast that even those who didnt vote for him are going to enroll.
With polls showing many Americans still skeptical of the law known as Obamacare, the president went back to the basics of explaining how nearly 50 million uninsured Americans will be able to buy coverage in new government-run exchanges while mocking Republicans for trying to block its implementation. The closer we get, the more desperate they get, Obama argued.

What does it say, that over 3 Years after they passed this, that they still are trying to convince people how wonderful Obamacare is???
Crazy Prediction “You can keep your healthcare insurance, and your Doctor”
Good. Make him double-down, loudly and often.
I am totally firm in my conviction that absolutely NOTHING good can come from a 2500 page bill that was slammed through by a process this corrupt.
I’ve been thinking, and I predict the next “big” story in the media will probably be the non-immediate explosion of the US in 5 days.
For at least two- three weeks the media will say “everything is working fine,” “how glad everyone is that Obama care works.”
Hey didnt Hitler used to say “Oh come on, those ovens, nothing to fear, just step inside..you’ll like it” Reminds me of Obama “You’ll love Obamacare, nothing to fear, hey free health care, what can be bad” Yeah take a trip to Australia and Canada and you will see what can be bad
the LEADING evidence to the contrary seems to be coming form Tenn...where “health insurance” is supposedly going to cost THREE TIMES the price it does at present.
Chairmen Obamao is talking “out the side of his neck”
If they AP was something other than a propaganda organ for the ruling class, they could point out that the rationale for passing this law was supposedly because we had 30 million uninsured Americans.
How did that number increase by two-thirds in the short time since it was passed? Could it possibly be because business has been forced to shed payrolls and drop full time workers and health insurance benefits to cope with all these new mandates? Ya think?
Or is that just right-wing scare mongering too?
OBayMe acts like Hitler and Mussolini mocking WWII, IMO.
Well, Mr. Wannabe-President, if it’s SOOOOO wonderful, why are you and your rascally Congress opting yourselves and your friends out of it? No one seems to want to answer that one.
Well those 15,000 lawyers and accountants the IRS hired to administer the law may be making good money, LOL.
We ain't got no death panels,.. they are administrative Boards !
Ever try to talk to a bureaucratic board ?
If Liberals wouldn’t be straight up with us when the law was first presented (or SINCE), how can they expect anything else?
FUBO! It is rather ironic that he is bragging about fedzilla taking ownership of our physical beings, in other words THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT IS BRAGGING ABOUT ENSLAVING US ALL!
Here is my response to him and his media minions:
When I lose my policy, I will not sign up for the exchanges. When they send the fine, I will not pay it. Eventually, they MUST issue a warrant to arrest me for not paying the fines and when they do, I will ignore its command. Eventually, they will have to act to enforce that warrant and then they will knock on my door, when they do I will not answer it. Eventually, they will be forced to kick the door in and when they do they will be met with resistance and they will pay a price.
Of course, I know that I will pay the ultimate price, but they must be willing to shoot me dead in order to mandate their health insurance utopia.
It is that way with every one of their desires, but this one is my bright line.
if it’s so great....why so many exemptions?
A small price to pay to ensure druggies, winos and illegal aliens get free coverage . . . After all, they is ObaMao's peeps. Tennessee voted against ObaMao twice. He won anyway, so suck it up. < / sarcasm >
We’ll see who’s crazy when people get a load of the changes come open enrollment time next month.
Cutting hours, dropping employees and families from coverage - these are happening
No “crazy predictions” - observations.
The original estimated cost was $850,000,000,000. Now it’s $2,000,000,000,000. The republicans should ask “Would you be happy if we fund your original lie?”
It’s so wonderful that everyone responsible for it isn’t using it. Congress asked the Kenyan for a waiver and he gave it to them.
ya DONT SUPPOSE the rates......naw....could these rates be based on politcal favoritism....and its reverse??
Tenn. Having thoroughly rejected the Chairmens OFFERS of PEACE Love and SOUL....are perhaps...being PAID BACK for their troubles??
If you’re not self employed they can take the fine from your paycheck.
What’s really going to hurt the government monster is when everyone starts claiming 12 dependents and no money is deducted from all the paychecks.
If I have to claim 12 dependents, then that is what I will do!
In fact, I will do whatever it takes for them to come to my door! I want that fight!
It’s not impossible to counteract ridicule. Alinsky was wrong. Once the one doing the ridiculing is exposed as a liar and monster, they have failed.
You’re not the only one who is refusing to buy into this, I would say probably half the country won’t as well. I have a lot of lib friends who say they aren’t. The fact is the majority of the people wanted nothing to do with this debacle, yet because we live under a soft tyranny they shoved it down our throats. The first letter they send me is getting sent back with a photo of my middle finger.
The usurper leads by mockery and blackmail. It’s no wonder America is not exceptional anymore.
Crazy prediction: ObamaCare will reduce the health insurance premiums by $2500 per family.
forecast that even those who didnt vote for him are going to enroll.
Like they have a choice?
This isn’t a prediction it’s an arrogant slap in the face.
Eventually we will all enroll when this mess turns into single payer Gubmint Insurance.
Is that like he mocked us when we told him it was foolish to pour fuel on the fire of Arab Spring? Is it like he mocked us when we told him throwing money at alternative energy was a waste? Is it like he has mocked us when we tell him the way to bring back the economy is by letting job creators keep more of their money? Obama thinks himself a king, but he is really the fool.
obama’s working at the theater because he sure is projecting.
Keeping your doc might be a problem, as many physicians are going to law school now, retraining for a more profitable career than medicine.
I’m pretty sure you can claim up to 12 dependents to reduce your weekly deduction. Then claim your real number when you do the taxes. Look for an edict from the dictator making it illegal to claim more dependents than you actually have.
You'll pay an underwithholding penalty by doing this.
I actually think that is an extremely revealing look into the hyper-partisanship of this administration, and how it uses government to pay off supporters.
That Obama actually thought it was an important point to make that Obamacare would be used by people who did NOT vote for him, suggests that MOST of the stuff he does he knows only benefits those who vote for him.
Obamacare is the law. Everybody HAS to sign up for insurance, or else they get a huge tax bill. So OF COURSE they are going to sign up for it -- it is a requirement. Of course, Obama regularly ignores laws he doesn't like, but most of us obey the law.
Interesting that he didn't say that people would LIKE Obamacare. Because nobody seems to right now. Even the people who will force us to continue with it say it is lousy.
Then that has changed since I did it. Actually, I didn’t claim 12. I claimed however many it took so that I would always owe a little come April 15th. But, apparently I couldn’t do that today. Thanks for the correction.
I just looked at several places online about the fine. The IRS will be the agency that collects the fines but will not be able to put liens on your property or come knock on your door. It’s only recourse is to keep your refund. The articles I read say the IRS will have access to your employment to see if you have insurance but it does not say they can garnish your wages.
Than again, the medicare website says nothing will change. In fact, under the ACA everything is going to be wonderul. Then I go to private articles that say premiums will increase, co-pays will increase and costs will increase. So, like everything else, I guess we’ll have to sign up to see what’s in it.
“The IRS will be the agency that collects the fines but will not be able to put liens on your property or come knock on your door. Its only recourse is to keep your refund.”
For now, but we all know that laws are not static, so it will change.
Ever notice how the Kenyan makes all of his “great speeches” at DNC programming institutions like Prince George’s Community College? The wildly applausing, “young skulls full of mush” that he always speaks to are either living in the dorm or their parents’ basements. They don’t have to pay taxes and are on their parents’ healthcare plans until they are 26. I’d love to see the lowlife scumbag just once come down here where the rubber meets the road and try making one of his “great” speeches to the American taxpayers. He wouldn’t be getting all of those photo op applauses.
The insane Clown is a fraud.
2500 pages of "as ACORN may decide"....
That’s possibly a part of it. But the bigger factor is that a relatively rural red state like Tennessee has more makers than takers. And makers in general are expected to pony up more to subsidize the takers.
A “legislator” who votes to pass a 1200 page law without having read it is crazy, and stupid, and irresponsible.
ah yes the perfect “communal” approach
