She is exactly right. I have lived for weeks in various countries and weeks for over 20 years in England. When I would take my son’s wife and small child to lunch in an everyday sort of restaurant, the cost was over $100 American dollars. I would go to the grocery store and you won’t find one like our big ones. We would go to a “big” one there and choices were very limited and very expensive.
If you took American products out of that store, it would be close to being bare. Our companies make the size containers for there and you won’t find a big bottle, say, of dishwashing soap – instead it is tiny and costs a lot more than one of our big bottles you buy to put at your kitchen sink. I recall a bottle of Johnson Wax. It was the only choice there and the bottle was tiny and highly expensive. I would pay for a small bag of groceries and it would cost over $100 American dollars. Plus you eat at home due to going out to eat there is very expensive.
When she would come to this country, she would buy their clothes here because they were so cheap. My grandson walked into Academy and wanted to live there. He has never seen a store that big with sporting goods. Walmart was like a whole different world to them, so big with so much in it at cheap prices.
Then, we have Caliban who shows up and wants everyone to leave this country and go to Nicaragua. He’s got a beach house – where have we heard that before – foreign country living on the beach? Here is a summary of why Caliban was us to desert our country like he did:

“Better think outside the box, because the USA is crumbling and they have NO PLANS in having aging baby boomers around any longer the they have too.”
“Get out, live on your SS in a country where the money still has buying power and enjoy your nest egg if you had saved one.”
“The savages here hate what you embrace, welfare entitkements (sic), abortion, gay marriage and atheism...”
By savages, he means those like him living there – “they hate what “you” embrace” I put the “you” in quotes as he means we approve of welfare, abortion, gay marriage and atheism, because if we didn’t, we would move to Nicaragua. That is a disgusting charge to level at Freepers – if I had a zot button, that charge to Jim Robinson and the rest of us, would put Caliban away.
Caliban is a disgrace to FR. We aren’t running away like he did, we will keep trying to save our country, not desert her and we certainly wouldn’t call our conservative friends lovers of welfare, abortion, gay marriage and atheism because they live in the USA – that malevolent charge is a vicious attack on Freepers.
