New U.S. mayor sets sights on 'black nation'

Voters in Jackson, Miss., a mid-sized city in the heart of the Deep South, have picked a Democrat as their mayor. What’s different about this individual is that he is a former leader of the Republic of New Afrika, a group dedicated to creating an independent black nation out of five southern states.

Now leading the city of about 175,000 is Chokwe Lumumba – who has a long history of radical activism and whose plans for the largest city in Mississippi could be called “revolutionary.”

A co-founder of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, which promotes black “self-determination,” Lumumba was sworn in on July 1, after winning 86 percent of the vote in the general election

Um, do you mean kali? LOL!(kinda) Sadly, there are a lot of great folks in a situation in kali that doesn’t afford them the opportunity to gain control or leave. As long as BRoakland, san frangommorah, lost angeles etc have the votes, nothing will change for the better. Carry on there moon beam brown.

As I understand it there are rural predominately run black counties that are now essentially run as third world nations.

“A co-founder of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement”

Naming anything after Malcom X isn’t a good idea considering his killers are still around.

The guy in ND is a NAZI, therefore a goofball.
And youre right. The double standard is amazing. Blacks can do no wrong. They are all victims of whatever is the flavor of the day. And when a Black person strays off the Black line, he/she is declared a House N****r.
Let them have Atlanta. Its a cesspool anyways.

I once asked one of these lefties how that hypocrisy was acceptable to him. He said that since white America had "all the power" it was acceptable for black Americans to take what they could.
I said, "Oh, I see." I figured that reason and logic were unknown to him.

ok, if they don’t just hang around and collect money from what is now the USA.

The basic idea has merit as well as precedent. The Indian tribes had their own autonomous nations, their own playing fields of equals, private economies where half were guaranteed a place on the right side of the economic bell curve. But they gave up control to get welfare and foodstamps.

The democrats cannot successfully defend having such officials. The republicans don’t use democrat scandals even when race is not involved.

then it won't be asking for any WHITE MONEY... right???

That would have to be part of the deal, of course.

If you think that a Republic of New Africa (RNA) would solve more problems than it would cause, then you should be thinking about how to sell the deal, to whites and to blacks.

It would probably cost trillions in "white money" up front, but there would have to be a defined end date.

We are spending trillions now, and that looks to be indefinite.

I understand those who think the status quo ends with a zombie apocalypse, and that IS one possibility. But it's not the most likely one.

RNA deserves a serious look.

SeminloeCounty. We used to be neighbors if you’re in Seminole County FL. We left Brevard a little over 2 years ago when the shuttle shut down. Lucky for me I was old enough to get laid off and retire the same day. Headed west. In any case, a lot of folks should do some research in to Black Liberation Theology as espoused by the rev. jerry wright. You know, the one that bronco bama never really heard say anything bad. In 20 years.

I could tell you a story, a tale of two cities, as it were.

These two cities are located one mile apart, separated by a river and an international boundary. In 1950 City A was one of the richest cities in the US in terms of per capita income. The population was approaching 2 million. It really was a shining city on a hill, a great example of how capitalism can enrich everyone who wants to participate.

Located at the end of the railroad line it City B became a manufacturing hub during the war because of its proximity to City A. It shared in the postwar boom but was always a poor sister. A corrupt local government and a retail sector held back by City A's vibrant retail trade stilted growth. City B's population was roughly 15% of City A's in 1950.

Flash forward 60 odd years. City A has been racked by government corruption and solid liberal/socialist rule for all this time. The city workforce has multiplied while the population has dwindled to about 700,000. The police force doesn't respond to 911 calls and crime is totally out of control. The previous mayor is in jail on numerous charges. The school system graduates illiterates as a routine matter. The city is bankrupt, although you wouldn't know it by listening to its present crop of politicians.

While City A was losing people, City B has more than doubled in population. As for crime, City B recently recorded a 27 month period without a single homicide. It's public school system is very good. One public high school draws international students because of its math program. The current mayor is a businessman who is highly oriented towards drawing investment to the city. Last year he basically broke the back of city labor unions over pension issues. The part time city council meets once a week.

I've given you enough clues to figure out where these cities are. Freepmail me if you want the names.
