How About Shutting down Las Vegas?

Posted on 10/01/2013 1:50:14 PM PDT by dunblak

Suggest we explore shutting down Las Vegas as a way to get Mr. Reid's attention...I have just cancelled a trip there and hope others will do so. Mr. Reid's constituents might be a little more active in pulling his chain if the hotels and casinos have to be boarded up.

LOL.

There are way more zombies visiting Vegas than your withdrawal will be able to counteract against.

Funny, earlier today I notified the Las Vegas chamber of exactly that...tell Weed we are not coming due to the shut down as we planned to also visit the Grand Canyon.

Hell no. I drive to Vegas to unwind as I work in a city full of faggots and liberals. I need to get away from these freaks and vegas is a respite. (what’s that MGM? you still couldn’t catch me count cards at the poker table? BWAHAHAHA)

Why not? Obama suggested doing that three years ago. Time for him to see what that will do, for real, so he can be fed his own words.

Shutdown “searchlight” NV instead... Specifically the whorehouse and it’s swimming pool that Harry learned to swim in...

Hey now...that just hurts the conservative business owners that support the strip resorts. The busloads of union members will vote for Reid no matter what you do.

I just got back from a trip to Lost Wages. I liked it 30 years ago but was BORED to tears this time. I know that town didn't change; I did.
It shouldn't be called SinCity; it should be called DepressingCity. The dealers looked the same and the pit bosses, what few there were, looked the same. With all the cameras EVERYWHERE I know it was "safe."

The hookers depressed me this time around. Prostitution is legal in all of Nevada, save the towns. That means that the out-of-town brothels are the same, filled with men from everywhere and women who have had a life where THIS occupation is where they are. What a sad commentary on this state.

I know; I know. Things haven't changed.
One stupid woman told me: prostitution is the oldest profession. THIS time I was ready for that STUPID statement.
The oldest professions are hunter, fisherman, gatherers [much like modern-day shopping :o)], warrior, cook, doctor. Without THOSE there wouldn't be any of us now. Prostitution didn't come along until groups of people had spare time and money so that SOME women could spread their legs (or butt-cheeks), get money and call it a day.

Sigh.

NOT a good idea in my opinion as too many good people would be collateral damage should such a thing happen.

The real target should be anything to inhibit the Democrat Party as all Democrat politicians are of loyalty to the party more so than to their constituency, or their country.

The Party is everything to a Democrat Politician. The Party is where they get their direction, and where they reap their rewards for their loyalty.

Screwup their stride, screwup their goals. Knock ‘em off their tracks. Make them like the ant hill you just knocked about with a shovel, and watch the Democrat ants run all around looking for something, anything to lead them. Without the party they don’t know what to do. Without the party they are totally lost looking for that security guard at the mall to take them back to their mommy.

The Searchlight brothel has been closed down for decades. It’s a great little town. And the vast majority of folks there HATE Harry Reid, even though he’s originally from there.

Harry Reid pays absolutely no attention to us and does not respect our wishes at all. He went into the last election several points behind in the polls but the cheating was massive. We will never be rid of Reid but, as I understand it, he does not plan to run again. I hope this is true but this makes him ever more immune from pressure from the electorate. Boycott us if you will, if it makes you feel better. But I promise you it will make no difference whatsoever. He is a creature owned by big-money out of state interests.

Prostitution is NOT legal anywhere in Clark County. It exists, and the law often looks the other way, but it is not legal there.

Well, I guess the folks at the casinos lied to me.
I'm not surprised.

We have good and long-time freepers who dwell and pursue a livelihood in Las Vegas and in the satellite suburbs surrounding. The city is not all neon lights, strip joints, casino dealers and prostitutes.

We must intelligently pick and choose our boycotts and places not to visit. There are bigger leftist cheeses in the corporate world to zone in on than randomly punishing the many good conservative folks who happen to live and are employed in or around Las Vegas.
