A local poison-control center reported what appears to be the first reported cases of people using the drug "Krokodil" in the country.
The drug, which apparently gets its name from the appearance many of its users get, due to sores, is described as a "moonshine" version of heroin.
VICE did a video report on the drug, including two Russian brothers who are absolutely, positively fried from using the stuff for a year.

At least those who are stupid enough to ruin their lives on drugs don’t get bailed out time after time by a “compassionate government” that uses the druggies addiction to federal benefits for their votes..

As sweet and caring as your hopes are, the reality is that druggies vote for more government and liberalism, live for years, collect and consume vast amounts of tax dollars, have children, families and make up large percentages of very broken and destructive and criminal creating but politically important communities that help the left dominate politics in a city and state.
They don’t just discover drugs and then keel over and die.
I doubt this is being used in the US as Codeine isn’t OTC like in Russia and with its close proximity to the Mexican border, there is probably a lot of Black Tar for cheap in AZ

There are druggies smart enough to have the taxpayer support them so they can be high on drugs.

If the government really wanted to stop all drug abuse of illegal narcotics and what not there is simple solution to it....
Step 1.
Run a PSA saying Drugs ARE LITERALLY POISON AND YOU WILL DIE IF YOU TAKE THEM.
Step 2. Covertly intercept drug shipments and place any one of several poisons in every shipment you intercept.
Step 3.
Run another PSA that explains that Drugs are poisons because the shipments are covertly intercepted and poisoned with several rotating poison types in them BY THE GOVERNMENT.
Drug use will either immediately drop to near zero levels in that it is not a problem no more. or the problem will solve itself within 10 years...
No need for for no-knock raids or any of that crap that steals liberty... Just an actual war on drugs by poisoning the drugs themselves and cleaning the gene pool for those dumb enough to wade to the deep dangerous area of the pool.

I fail to see why anyone with a coldly logical intellect should care. These worthless life forms are even more disposable than Democrats. At least they are killing themselves, rather than seeking some emotional justification for the governmental murder of anyone who doubts the Revealed Truth of Global Warming, or Electric Cars, or Alar, or Radon Gas, or whatever else is the current fad of the week.

If drugs killed liberals then they wouldn’t control the cities and the drug awash areas would not be baby factories for more liberal voters.

For me it was barely over 40 years ago when I was telling friends that it won’t be the sound of right wing hobnailed boots coming up the stairs to take us away, it will be the sound of the left’s sandals coming up those stairs.
Back then the point was clear, I hope that most still get the meaning although it doesn’t carry the sharpness that it did in 1971 hobnailed boots was the phrase for republicans and conservatives and sandals (or some other shoe, I can’t remember) represented the gentle caring left, I figured out even when I was young that their caring would lead to ever increasing efficiency in their “caring”.
