According to some model projections it will really hit the western end of Japan, then break down quick and fly very fast through north and east Japan. Link below, click north pacific, then click sea of japan. Use the next buttons to see the future projections.

Any hurricane parties in the works.

There’s an American in Japan with a blog. Rather funny.

Not sure if you know this site, www.typhoon2000.com
It is what I use to keep up with west Pacific weather.
It has many satellite images.
For some reason, the site is not working as it should today.
I think they are doing some maintenance work on it.
Anyway, check it out sometime.

“Give my regards to your wife and a hug to your kid !”

Thanks, I will...Little Alex came down with a fever yesterday, and the doctor admitted him to the hospital.
I just came from there. He seems to be OK, but bewildered.
I am impressed with the medical care that is available here.
It seems to be top notch, contrary for a third world country. When I walk in the door, all of the staff, as well as security guards, treat me as close friend or member of the family.
Once a year I go to the city where a lab takes my blood.
I come home and go to their web site, enter my code, and get a printout of 25 or more values for my blood.
I then email them to my brother, a doctor in the states
We all have PhilHealth, a basic medical insurance. They do not pay much, but the cost for a family policy is peanuts. It will, however, get you into a hospital, and it did pay a fair amount for the birth of little Alex.

Well, during my time at Yokota Air Base during typhoon Ida, we had a grand party leading up the the landfall and actually during. I remember the time with great affection..heh. I spent the late hours recording many of the 60’s and 70’s tunes to a stand alone recorder (many might remember them - required an amplifier and speakers).

I slept through the worst of it even though a portion of our barracks roof was blown off. Was really a fun time then. To this day, I consider typhoons or hurricanes (this continent) not so bad...heh.

Now, not so sure, but I’d suspect that many will have a good time even through this event though. Hope everybody comes out of it okay though...
