Kris and Bruce Jenner have separated.
The couple issued a statement saying, "We are living separately and we are much happier this way."
Sources connected with the family tell TMZ ... Bruce has been living in Malibu full-time and spending a lot of time with his sons Brody and Brandon. Kris is firmly planted in Calabasas with her daughters.
We're told Bruce has privately told his sons living away from Kris was just the way the relationship evolved.
In their statement, they say they will continue to have love and respect for each other.
It's unclear how the split will impact their reality show.
4:01 PM PT Sources say Bruce and Kris have been separated since June and they are reiterating what we are told from others -- that there is no plan to divorce.
3:39 PM PT Sources connected to Kris and Bruce tell TMZ ... Kris -- who is the moving force in the separation -- has NOT contacted a divorce lawyer. We're told as of now she's fine with the status quo. Fact is ... they've been separated for awhile, and Kris and Bruce don't want to screw up their reality show ... which is raking in $40 mil for the family.

My wife watches. I saw a blip of one the other night before putting on my headphones and getting on my ipad. They had taken his Glock and covered it in cement because they hate guns. Then they presented it to him for the cameras.
I imagine that is why he finally decided to live somewhere else.

My wife and I took separate vacations this year. Every other year, she goes to Florida for two weeks with most of her (large) family. I've gone multiple times, and I felt I paid my dues. My daughter opted not to go, saying she didn't want to deal with all the drama.
I planned my vacation as a road trip with my 11 YO son, and we enjoyed experiences that my wife would have not participated in: horseback riding in Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon, canyoneering/rappelling near Zion NP, etc.
It was my best vacation ever, if only for the time I spent with my son. One of my favorite memories is driving on IH-40, jammin' to the Million Dollar Quartet soundtrack, with the sound turned up and my son enjoying the music as much as I did.
I'm planning a similar trip next year, but we hope that Mom will join us.
